I am disappointed with my recent stay at this Holiday Inn.
I booked two rooms for my family. One room was assigned in the middle of the hallway, in a good location with a much better overall appearance. However, the second room was assigned as the very last room at the end of the corner hallway. The difference between the two rooms was very noticeable. The corner-end room felt isolated and was not as pleasant as the room in the middle section.
I requested that both rooms be in the middle row or, at the very least, located near each other. The front desk staff told me they would check availability and get back to me while we were out for the day. However, when we returned, our request had simply been rejected without any explanation or effort to help. Unfortunately, I found the front desk staff to be unhelpful and lacking in customer service. A little more willingness to assist or communicate would have made a big difference.
Another major concern was the condition of the bed in the corner room. The bed was not assembled properly, and two metal rods were sticking out from the bed frame. I hurt my leg while getting out of bed because of these exposed metal rods. This is a serious safety hazard that should have been identified and fixed before assigning the room to a guest.
Overall, I expected better customer service, more consideration for a family booking two rooms, and greater attention to guest safety. I hope management addresses these issues to improve the experience for future guests.

The location is great for visiting nyc it was a 20 min drive from the location we were visiting.
Our room had weird chunks in our conditioner so we didn’t use it.
And my brothers room the door was difficult to open and their mini fridge and tv did not seem to work. They did call room service but the IT guy was out but they did offer to try to help which is what matters.
I did not like that. They did not have free water in the lobby like most hotels and the waters were three to $10.
They did have a vending machine on our floor next to the ice machine, which was good.
We also appreciated the shuttle bus service.
If you’re coming from the airport, you have to take the air train which takes you to a secondary location where the hotel shuttle bus specifically picks you up.
The shuttle bus does not pick you up directly from the airport. Please keep this in mind.
Overall we would stay here again because of the price and location near our airport.
They had a restaurant which we did not use. They also have breakfast for I believe $19. All you can eat.

I enjoy staying at the hotel due to its proximity to popular restaurants and attractions.
Mya at the front desk is top notch! I stay here often and she serves all guests with dignity and respect.
I cannot say that for the other female front desk agents - not as polite as Mya. I had to collect packages from the mailroom. Mya was patient in helping me find my packages considering they were not on the shelf they should have been on. Had the other girl took more time to look she would have found all my packages the first time.
The housekeeper did not do a good job cleaning the room. Towels looked thrown on shelf instead of neatly folded. I wish I took photos! Trash was left in the room even though I placed it at the door in a neat pile. I had to call three times one night for more towels. There was no mirror in the room; only in the bathroom. This was odd considering the other rooms have a long mirror on one wall and a shelf with a mirror on the other. The tub is very high to step into.
Love staying here but this time I had a bad experience with some staff and the quality of the room.

I will never stay at this location or another Holiday Inn again. Check in was seamless. The lobby was well kept. When we got to our room everything seemed fine and we were resting for a bit before we entered the restroom but when we opened the door it smelled strongly of sewage and urine. I thought maybe someone took a dump before we got there but it smelled like sewer. We brought it to the front desks attention and the moved us to another room with no problem. The next room we got to was very dirty. There was a fresh stain on the comforter and it smelled dirty. The pillow cases also smelled used and dirty. We asked for fresh linens and they arrived an hour later. The floors were very dirty with visible debris. The tub had brown grime and it smelled strongly of urine. When we showered the water stink like mildew or something. We ordered food from the restaurant and got a buffalo chicken pizza that was overpriced, flavorless, dry and had very old dry chicken. Not only that, after we checked out we tried calling back to see if a lost item was retrieved and there was no answer from any line that led to the front desk. It went from continuously ringing to them picking up and leaving us on hold indefinitely. I understand that it can get busy but this is awful customer service. Overall horrible experience. Do better. O/5 stars I usually stay at the Doubletree next door and I will never go elsewhere. You lost a customer forever.

This was one of the most disgusting hotels I’ve ever stayed in! Never mind being outdated by 30-something years with the tub so small, narrow and old, you can hardly even turn around in it while taking a shower, and it creaked and moved every time you did and felt like it was going to fall through the floor into the room below!! The bathroom vanity was falling apart, and the ceilings are still done in stucco. The windows were also absolutely filthy.
The hallways and lobby smelled of a combination of sewage, cigarette smoke, and marijuana.
The hotel does not even offer complementary bottled water, which 90% of hotels are doing these days because of unsafe tapwater. Their kiosk was charging $6 for a small bottle of water and $8 for a large, which is just absurd! The coffee was awful and that was $6 with taxes for a small 8 ounce. This hotel really needs to get with the times, renovate their rooms, make them safer and do something about the awful smells and quit being so cheap and at least offer good quality coffee and complementary bottled water, for crying out loud!! The reception staff were probably the only good thing about this hotel, they were very friendly and helpful, but I will never stay at this particular Holiday Inn ever again, even though it’s so convenient to the airport. There are plenty of others within the same distance.
