Issues:
1. Terrible Wifi at the hotel. Even though I made the complaint nothing was done. They just said that its working for them and it should work for me too. Im in 9th floor and I barely get any internet. They say they cant do anything about it. It is what it is.
2. Air conditioning just sucks. You cant turn it on or off, the temperature control is broken.
Subject: Urgent Escalation: Severe Hygiene Violation and Unfair Cancellation Fee – Crowne Plaza Englewood (Confirmation #[Your Confirmation Number])To IHG Guest Relations,I am writing to formally escalate a critical health, safety, and billing issue regarding my recent reservation at the Crowne Plaza Englewood by IHG (Confirmation #[Your Confirmation Number]).I was forced to cancel my stay after learning that this specific property has active bedbug infestations. As a guest, I expect IHG properties to maintain a baseline of basic, legal habitability. Because the hotel failed to provide a safe and sanitary environment, I canceled the reservation to protect my personal health and prevent spreading a major pest infestation to my home and luggage.Despite this being a severe hygiene failure on the hotel's part, local management has charged me a late cancellation fee and explicitly refused a refund when contacted by phone. Charging a penalty fee under these conditions is completely unacceptable and constitutes an unfair business practice.I have already reported this property to the Englewood Health Department (201-568-3450) to trigger an official environmental health inspection.I request that IHG Corporate intervene immediately to reverse this charge of $[Enter Amount Charged] back to my payment card. If this matter is not resolved promptly by corporate, I will pursue a formal chargeback through my credit card issuer for "services not as described" and file a consumer complaint with the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs.I look forward to your prompt response and immediate resolution.Sincerely,[Your Name][Your Phone Number][Your IHG One Rewards Number, if applicable]
What makes the room special is the shower, especially when the water flow is warm and slow , suddenly you start hearing some piano songs , start wandering where it's coming out from
The iron plate on floor makes the random trickles and drops of water have a sound, creating a sound out of natrual unheard drops of water, making a random symphony out of rainy shower water, letting your mind easily drift off, to that moment of the day , maybe catching some new idea for your next book, the list is endless
The sheet covers are silky and warm to wrap self with
The gym is in the recreation room down the hallway, once there, it's located on to the second floor. Small but still useful to break some sweat, though they close around 10 pm.
Further, there's some refreshments to buy like ice cream and water bottles after you finish.
Morning breakfast was special with the halloumi cheese
Which one can mix with Greek yogurt or just try to add some marmalade for a change.
An interesting fact:
The hallways are very well air-conditioned
You could feel and enjoy the breeze before reaching your room.
Take the stairs, to enjoy it the best.
We just stayed two nights at the hotel for a conference my wife participated in. Our room was on the 6th floor with a view out the front of the hotel toward South Van Brunt St. While our stay was pleasant, our room was a little tired and tattered around the edges. One outlet at the desk did not really hold the plug of a power adapter. The two full-size beds were comfortable enough, there was plenty of hot water and the A/C was cold, but noisy. The room did have an odor that might be from mildew or old carpet, but it was tolerable for the most part. The guest elevators were a bit slow, and the up-down indicators above the doors were not working on our floor. The lobby was nice, dominated by a small restaurant, and there was a comfortable seating area with couches and small round table with two chairs.
I spent a lot of time working in the hotel room, and after checkout, in the lobby, while my wife attended a conference. The wireless internet was find the evening we arrived and the first day, but the second night it slowed to a crawl and stayed that way through the next afternoon. I wound up having to use my work cell as a hotspot.
Most of the car parking is in the open front lot, with a few spaces under the building at the same level as the lot.
The area is adjacent to an industrial area/commercial area, with some heavy truck traffic, but is otherwise fine. It is 5 minutes to central Teaneck. We visited Overpeck county park, which is also a few minutes drive from the hotel and very nice.
The service staff we encountered was very nice and helpful, no complaints.

I’ve been going back and forth with Crowne Plaza Saddle Brook for over a month trying to get a $50 refund for a late checkout extension I paid for but never used. The room was booked under my friend’s name, but the charge was on my card. Despite multiple emails, calls, and even speaking with a manager named Ibrahim who confirmed I’d be reimbursed, I still haven’t received my money. Communication has been frustrating — voicemails left, no follow‑up, and no resolution. If you’re okay with endless runaround and waiting to hear back from a manager, good luck getting a solution.
