this place is trash. Not worth the money at all. The rooms are decent but everything that surrounds it isn't. You pay $170 for a room and then they charge you a $50 incidental fee. And there isn't even a complementary breakfast you have to pay another $23 for breakfast. Every other little shit box hotel around here for half the price has free breakfast. And then the front staff is ignorant.

For the benefit of staying next to the turnpike, I get made service every other day by policy for “my convenience”?

I had a very disappointing experience with the front desk staff at this hotel, particularly an employee I believe was named Jessica.
I arrived around 2:10 PM, a little before the official 3:00 PM check-in time. Jessica told me that no rooms were ready yet. I completely understood that I was early, so I simply asked if she could let me know when a room became available and told her I would wait in the lobby.
What happened next was what bothered me.
Literally about a minute after I sat down, two other guests walked in and were checked in immediately by another front desk employee. At first, I gave the hotel the benefit of the doubt and thought perhaps they had booked a different room type. I decided to approach the other employee to see whether anything was available for my reservation.
To my surprise, I was checked in successfully with no issue.
I then learned that the employee who checked me in was the supervisor on duty, so I calmly explained what had just happened: only a few minutes earlier, Jessica had told me that no room was available, yet I was able to get checked in almost immediately afterward.
Instead of acknowledging my concern, explaining what may have happened, or simply apologizing for the confusion, Jessica became visibly frustrated and defensive. She insisted that when I first arrived there had been no rooms available. What made the interaction particularly unprofessional was that she then walked away and slammed the office door.
The room availability itself was not my main issue. I arrived before the official check-in time, so I fully understood that the hotel was under no obligation to check me in early. My concern was the inconsistent treatment and, even more importantly, the way my reasonable question was handled afterward.
The entire interaction left me feeling that I had been treated differently from other guests. Even if there was a legitimate explanation for the room suddenly becoming available within those few minutes, a professional response would have been to explain it—not become angry and slam a door.
Hospitality is not just about providing a room; it is also about how guests are treated. Based on my experience with the front desk, I would not recommend this hotel and would choose somewhere else for my next stay.

Do NOT pay extra money to earn bonus points, you will NOT receive them. I had to call Holiday Inn help desk (which is another adventure by itself) to call the hotel multiple times, over 7 days to receive the points I PAID FOR!! This is actually the 3rd time I’ve had to do this. It’s unfortunate because I like the property. The good thing is there’s a Hampton Inn literally right across the street.
