Booked a king room months ago and when I got here all they had was queen available. What is the point of being a ihg platinum member when you're just going to give away my reservation smh do better.

updated to IHG did post my review We stayed over Memorial Day weekend. During our stay 1 of the beds was broken and we reported it to the front desk Saturday morning, before we left for the day. The front desk clerk advised us that she would have maintenance look into it and swap beds and also let the evening staff know. We returned in the evening time to check, and the broken bed was still in the room. We checked with the front desk, who was never made aware of the broken bed. At this point we were too tired to argue and went to bed. The next day when we were checking out we explained the issue again to the front desk. The clerk offered to take $20 off per night, which we agreed to. The $20 was never taken off. We called 5 times that first week leaving messages for the manager to call us back, but never heard a thing. Since that time we left multiple messages with no response. I even opened a complaint with IHG directly on 6/17. The hotel management has disregarded all attempts by IHG customer relations and has refused to call them back as well for the last 2 weeks. What should have been a simple discount/refund has now taken multiple hours out of my time with me having to follow up every couple of days with IHG. I would never recommend this hotel based on the simple fact of the complete and utter lack of customer respect and service. UPDATED::I am updating my review in response the the GM's response. I'm sorry to hear there was an issue. My family and I were not part of any issues and we not even aware of any issues. My review is based solely on the service that we received during and after our stay. The hotel can review the tapes and see my family and I spent most of the weekend when we were at the hotel in our room. We did stay in a broken bed and reported it to the staff and were told it would be addressed, it wasn't. We were advised by the front desk we would be given a credit, we weren't. We did reach out to the hotel multiple times after our stay with no response from the hotel. I did file a complaint with IHG directly and the hotel management did not even respond to IHG escalations for several weeks. My case kept being closed due to no response. No one from the hotel ever reached out to me and no one from IHG reached out to me, I had to continuously follow up and take time out of my day to find out the status. A month after my stay I was advised that the GM told IHG that we were never offered the discount and my case was closed. The GM was not present, was not there the day after, and never reached out to me in a month to try and resolve what was a $40 credit. Nothing I have posted is bullying and it certainly cannot be slander, because Dave written word is libel, not slander but I digress. I have worked in customer service for over 25 years and have been in a management role for over 18 years and I have never seen worse service from a hotel or their management staff. At least have the courtesy to call me directly instead of telling corporate that we lied and were never offered a discount, even though I'm sure your video records recorded our conversation with the front desk. Punishing me for something that I had no part of, wasn't aware of, and didn't know until recently is why I would never recommend your hotel to anyone.

Let's start with my experience at this hotel: don't waste your time here. You're better off driving a little farther to the Holiday Inn in Swedesboro or choosing any IHG property in Delaware. Before my arrival, the General Manager emailed me because the credit card I had on file declined. Instead of calling, texting, or even leaving a voicemail, they only sent an email. I'm not someone who constantly checks my phone, so I didn't discover the issue until about two hours before arrival—only to find out my reservation had already been canceled. That was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. The only positive part of my stay was the night front desk associate, who was very friendly and helpful during check-in. As an IHG Platinum member, I received a room upgrade, but unfortunately the room was in terrible condition. It was outdated, worn down, and clearly in need of major renovations. Based on previous reviews, it appears the front desk staff also handles housekeeping duties, which may explain why cleanliness was lacking. The bathroom wasn't properly cleaned, and there were stains on the bed sheets near the nightstand. The hotel itself feels neglected. Even the television appeared to be from the early 2000s and had not been updated. To make matters worse, when I checked out and reviewed my receipt, I noticed an additional $11 charge. The front desk agent was new, so after waiting about 10 minutes, we compared my reservation confirmation with the hotel bill and discovered I had been charged for the room upgrade—even though I am an IHG Platinum member and upgrades should be complimentary when available. Overall, this was one of the worst IHG hotel experiences I've had. Between the poor communication, outdated rooms, cleanliness issues, and incorrect charges, I would not recommend staying here.

Checked in late night after traveling. Friendly staff, clean rooms, and everything appeared new and in good order. I was pleasantly surprised, as I hadn’t stay at a Holiday Inn Express for some time.
