  Sarah at the front desk was wonderful! She was friendly, welcoming, and very professional throughout my stay. She made check-in smooth and was always helpful with any questions. Great customer service and a very positive experience overall!

  I recently stayed with IHG and had an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and welcoming, but what truly made my stay exceptional was the outstanding service provided by Sarah. Sarah went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect during my stay. She was incredibly professional, kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. Her positive attitude and willingness to help made me feel truly valued as a guest. It’s rare to meet someone who brings such warmth and dedication to their work, and Sarah is a shining example of excellent customer service. Because of employees like Sarah, I will gladly continue choosing IHG for future travels. Thank you for creating such a memorable and enjoyable experience!

  This family friendly hotel is a nice, clean and well maintained property.The staff was very helpful in accommodating my special needs, the front office gentleman by the name of Mike was most helpful in helping me get the handicap facility that I needed. The hotel manager was also very kind to extend my check out that I would not have to sit at the airport for hours waiting which was very helpful. In my travels I always look for a few things at any hotel that I stay at and they are 1.How was I greeted upon check in 2.Was my reservation done correctly and if not was it amended and taken care of without making a fuss up at the front desk surrounded by other people 3.Ipon entering my room was it pleasant and inviting that if I never step out of the room that it was comfortable enough to remain without being disturbed. I must say here at the Holiday Inn Express in Carlstadt you checked off all the boxes so please keep up the good work. Sincerely Mrs.E.H.Wells

  Amazing service, the reception team were amzing specially Bassant and Ismael who went above and beyond to help us get around NY city and to make our stay exceptional. Also great location, there is a bus stop next to the hotel.

  I’m not someone who leaves reviews often - only when a place is either really good or so bad that I can’t stay quiet. Unfortunately, this was the second case. I’m an IHG Gold member, but I was treated like I was staying at the cheapest roadside motel - not at a Holiday Inn Express. And this wasn’t cheap either - I paid about $170 per night. The room condition was unacceptable. There was a cockroach on the wall. The mattress was visibly dirty and stained. The carpet looked filthy with clear dirt patterns. The wallpaper was peeling and falling apart, and parts of the room were poorly maintained. One of the lamps was broken, and the lighting overall looked damaged and unsafe. This wasn’t just “a bit outdated” - it felt dirty and neglected. What made the experience even worse was the service. At around 11:30 PM, after a 12-hour shift, I went downstairs to politely explain the situation, showed them photos, and simply asked to be moved to a different room. Instead, I was told the hotel was fully booked and there were no rooms available. On top of that, the front desk representative had already processed a refund and canceled my stay - without my consent. So, in the middle of the night, I was basically left without a place to stay. After working all day, I had to go find another hotel last minute and ended up paying $270 for the night - significantly more than what I originally booked. That was completely unacceptable and extremely stressful. I came back the next day to speak with the manager, hoping for some kind of resolution. The only thing I got was an apology - nothing else. No effort to make things right. This is far below what I expect from IHG. I was very disappointed and frustrated with the entire experience. I will never stay at this property again and would not recommend it to anyone.
