People were inviting and nice. The main floor is beautiful but anything above that hasn’t been touched for a while.if you’re handicapped this place probably wouldn’t be for you as the only elevator which is neat is one with a gate and if that gate isn’t shut while you exit upstairs the elevator will sit on that floor until gate is shut. Our room we stayed in was very very outdated with paint chipping everywhere, old furniture , a damaged Tv with a blue dot when on, a mattress that is stiff as a board and pillows. The main door to room has 3 locks on them the deadbolt doesn’t work when you exit room nor can you use a key to lock so anyone can break into the room as it’s very flimsy and you can see the marks on the doors from people wedging them open it the past. The golf course side of it was ok as well with gorgeous views but a big let down. Greens are dead, tees are rock hard and just what we expected as a golf resort.

Historical, needs a nice paint job along with removing rotten wood.
I believe the windows were at least 70 years old with the rope pulling.
The elevator was as old as the windows with just 1 elevator. The lobby floor was beautiful up to date. Had an outdoor pool no hot tubs as my booking site said had. They have a golf course there which is Free if your staying there.
They also have a beautiful area to book a wedding.
Had a nice game room played pool for a while.
They planned alot of activities which was A+ pet friendly kid friendly. Beautiful views so over all I probably would go again.

We had a great stay here, quiet and comfortable with beautiful scenery, hikingtrails and the Saco river. They offer ammenities such as golfing, swimming pool, game room, exercise room, and dining. They also host special nights like Murder Mystery or Smores by the firepit and more. I would like to give a special "THANK YOU" to "ADRIAN" at the reception check-in. She was an absolute pleasure, always smiling, remembering all our names and went ABOVE and BEYOND to help in everyway possible. I would stay here again just for that reason!!! Thank you again Adrian for everything!!!

I want to give this hotel five stars because I loved the location and I love the porch with all the Rockers and just the decor of the inside of the lobby, but there are a few issues. First I want to start with all the positives. I loved this hotel for our big group. We had about 50 people come in for my father-in-law's 80th birthday. We reserved a room for his birthday and it was absolutely wonderful. The food was amazing. The people running the hotel are so friendly and so nice. Almost every day multiple people came to us to pet our dog. The people at the front desk are extremely nice and checking in and out was seamless. The way the hotel is set up is just amazing. There is a fire pit in the backyard with a man outside that will help you make s'mores. The pool is across the street and it is beautiful and clean. A group went golfing and they loved the golf course. It's just spectacular. Down the street is also a river and waterfall that you can go and wade into. It was great. There is also a hiking path in the back of the hotel that you could hike. The plantings in the yard of the hotel are absolutely beautiful. There is also a game room downstairs that many of our group played in. The rooms are nice, but old. The air conditioner are wall units and mine kicked off in the middle of the night and the room went up to about 80. I had to get up and turn the air conditioner off and put it back on. The pillows are super uncomfortable, I would recommend bringing your own. The hostess at the restaurant is very nasty. The service is very slow in the restaurant but the food is very good. If you were planning to bring your dog and want to sit outside on The Veranda you'll have to order takeout and sit outside for breakfast. There is no service outside in the mornings for breakfast so you'll have to order takeout and it is extremely slow. It took some of us an hour to get our food and the hostess was extremely nasty to all of us. I will say though the food is very very good. Drinks are very expensive at the bar. Although there are some negatives I really do find that this is a great Hotel for big groups!
