  Sachin was a very professional "front desk assistant" and helped me with my emergency-needed laptop and phone which was not working correctly and he was a genius in what he fixed. He had gone above and beyond what I expected from him. I have traveled widely and have never met someone in his position who has helped me as much as he has, with understanding and patience. You are very lucky to have someone like him working at your hotel.

  Room 106 first impression: They are trying to cover up a horrible mildew smell with air freshener. Either way, the main concern came later on. In the evening, I started to hear footsteps constantly running back and forth in the room above us (I would later discover it was a dog and young kid/s). It was non-stop for over an hour, so I asked the front desk to intervene. They told me they would talk to the room. But, the noise continued after the manager talked to them, so I reached back out to the front desk. Now, the manager assured me that the noise would stop. It didn't, so I asked if we could change rooms. First, the front desk said there were no rooms available. However, the IHG website shows availability; in fact, the IGH site would let me make reservation if I wanted. I showed them the availability on the website, but the manager then said that those were only ADA rooms. So, when I told him that the website said nothing about them being accessible rooms, he then said that he couldn't change our room because the available rooms were not my preferred room type. I told him I didn't care, but he still refused. So, which is it? Are there no rooms available? Are there only accessible rooms? Or, is it just that preferred room type is not available? The noise continued late into the night and started again early in the morning. (I did contact IHG, and they offered 10,000 points. Oh goodness.) It sucks that the manager of the only major hotel in Durham is such a weirdo.

  Walk into hallway, first impression was outstanding! Walk into room, it was very good too. Room and bathroom is clean and it has useful spaces. Parking lots felt safe and clean. All light fixtures are working, and as well as TV works great. What more do I need? Nothing! It is great for a night or more. I would like to add words that breakfast was great!

  I stayed there on Friday night July 10th for my grandson race The rooms were very clean. Not any loud noise at night and check in was super easy . The next morning when we woke up we needed to leave by 7:00 to get to my grandsons race and breakfast wasn’t open it. We asked Sachin who was at the front desk where we go grab a quick breakfast and that we had very little time so he said come with me and opened the breakfast room 15 minutes early so my grandson was able to eat before his race. Thank you so much for understanding and allowing us to grab a quick bite . Thank you again Sachin and see you next year

  Needed a last minute reservation for my fiance and 6 year old. Sachin at the front desk went above and beyond to help us at every stage of the booking and throughout the stay. Excellent service - I recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.
