Not a good experience from the time of check in until checkout. Short version- 1) Disgusting pool. There were bandaids, hair and other unknown floaters as well as cloudy green-ish water. The ladder in the deep end also has a very loose top step. 2) They do not partner with Life Time fitness regardless of what the front desk says. 3) Dirty rooms- ceiling and walls around the shower in our room had spots (maybe mold?) and the grout on the bathroom floor was also yellow/brown near the tub. 4) There was a large spider in our room we had to kill. 5) We were locked out of our room and had to have the front desk rekey our card at 10pm when we returned from our outing. They didn’t act surprised, almost like it happens frequently- didn’t ask for ID or name, just room number. I guess anyone could have gotten a key to our room if they asked? 6) Dated hotel that is not well maintained. The elevator did not want to work for the second floor (the button wouldn’t stick). We had multiple people end up going to 3 with us because it wouldn’t stop at 2. Also the door by the steps (pool end of the building) had a sign that said maintenance was being done on it, but no one was working on it (even Monday when we left) and it was left open during the day. It looked like the hinge/bar at the top used was detached and needed replaced. I expected a better experience from a Holiday Inn Express. Longer version of Life Time situation- Before we booked, I saw a note online that they partnered with Life Time fitness for access to the gym and pools. To confirm, I called the front desk at the hotel and was told that is correct. Knowing we had access to the gym, I booked the room for two nights- the pool at the hotel was lackluster from pictures and the kids wanted water slides. Fast forward to check-in, the front desk has no idea what I am talking about. The girl had to text a manager for information and called our room a short time later with confirmation, yes they partnered with Life Time. I called Life Time to see if a room key got us access or what we needed to do. Life Time said they only partner with Staybridge and they have a card at the front desk. I went down to the Holiday Inn Express hotel front desk and was told they did not have cards for Life Time. Again, front girl desk said she could reach out the manager- I asked when the manager was going to be in the hotel to talk to speak in person and was told a manager would not be in and gave no timeline when the next one would be arriving. This was around 4pm on a Saturday- hard to imagine no manager on a weekend. Anywho, the other issues are in the bullet points above and don’t need as much detail. Needless to say, we were extremely disappointed in our stay, especially with the amount of money we paid. Our kids (7 & 9) even said “worst hotel ever”. We haven’t stayed at a Holiday Inn Express in years and this experience was enough for me to never stay at one again.

One of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. We booked a 2 night stay through a 3rd party so we were stuck. All I expect is friendly service and a clean room, I got neither. Black mold all over bathroom ceiling, walls had moisture damage too. Elevator buttons barely worked to the point I was too scared to take the elevator. The side entry door had the keypad smashed off. The breakfast was nothing good either. Scrambled eggs and sausage. Biscuits and gravy was out before 8am and asked if they were going to put more out since breakfast goes til 930am and they said no. Out of pancake mix so couldnt make pancakes either. The pool area was cold and there were no towels. No hottub. Don't waste your money.

Usually this is my go to whenever I travel in to town. This trip was different. I requested a crib and got it quickly but did not get a sheet or anything for it. There was a queen size duvet thrown in it which I cannot use for a baby and safe sleep. The AC rattles extremely loud like something is inside of it. And the housekeeping crew during the day time are extremely loud and banging things and yelling down the hall to one another which is not what I’m wanting to hear when my 10 month old was napping. Overall I was not pleased this time around. Might be time to find a new go-to for my trips.

Horrible hotel when I tell you DO NOT GO, DO NOT GO. First when we got there is was not the nicest hotel. Multiple broken doors so you can’t scan your key card to get in. Had to get someone to go in the hotel and open the door from the inside. Once we got there we went to the room and checked the bed there were SILVERFISH bugs all in the bed and if you don’t know basically roaches but without diseases. We wanted a refund since this place was uninhabitable. We went to go ask for a refund and they refused and were giving us a hard time. I told the lady 3 times that I want to cancel the room, and she was not very good at English so that’s why I asked so many times. And she said that “she will cancel”. A day and a half later no refund, and no cancel. Had to call the bank.

This is probably the worst hotel and ownership I have ever experienced. We stayed here during my son’s baseball tournament. The breakfast was terrible, our room was not cleaned once during our stay, the tv broke three times, the pool was closed the entire time, the treadmill in the gym was broken and this is just the tip of the iceberg. I’m not one to complain but it was so bad here we decided to leave a day early. On top of all the issues we still have not received a refund for our last night stay for checking out early which I can prove by a receipt given to me by the hotel. I have called the hotel at least a dozen times seeking a refund which they have promised but never followed through on. I spoke with the owner (Indian accent) who said he would issue a refund but lied. Every time I call they lie to me over the phone. I have been in contact with IHG and they opened up a file on this hotel. I have also been in contact with a lawyer to pursue a refund for the early checkout which should have been issued over a month ago! I hope the owner/manager reads this and makes things right. I think they believe this will just go away and it’s not going to. If your looking into this area for a hotel stay far away from this one!
