  Traveling with a pet and surprised to see carpeting and a torn arm chair in the room. The room had an unpleasant kennel odor. As for the other amenities, breakfast was good, friendly staff.

  Lady at the front desk was super rude and had an attitude. My room was still dirty when I arrived. Not a pleasant experience.

  I want to be very clear about how disappointed and dissatisfied I was with our stay. Unfortunately, this was one of those experiences where the pictures and description of the property created expectations that the actual hotel simply did not meet. The room itself was clean and appeared to have been taken care of, but almost everything outside of the room was extremely disappointing. The pool area was in unacceptable condition. There were large holes in the bottom of the pool with what appeared to be exposed pipes. I assume these were locations where lily pads or other equipment had previously been installed, but leaving them open created obvious hazards, especially for children. The hot tub was barely warm and was essentially unusable. On top of that, the bubbles were blowing cold air into the water, making the water feel even colder rather than providing the warm, relaxing experience you would expect from a hot tub. The condition of the building made the property feel poorly maintained and cheaply repaired. There was tape being used to hold signs up, chipped paint, and numerous obvious repairs to the walls and floors that looked like temporary fixes rather than actual maintenance. It gave the impression that the property was renovated years ago and then simply allowed to deteriorate. Our room had a sign on the thermostat telling guests not to use it because a wall-mounted unit had been installed instead. On top of that, the lighting was terrible. The different lights throughout the room were all different color temperatures, which made the room feel unpleasant and actually gave us a headache. Breakfast was mediocre, and the staff appeared to have difficulty keeping up. We also couldn't get basic items we needed. The hideaway bed didn't have a pillow, and when we requested an extra one, we were told they were out. That's a pretty basic request that I would expect a hotel to be able to accommodate. What bothers me most is that the property is presented online in a way that does not reflect what we experienced. The pictures are misleading. Based on the photos, I expected a clean, well-maintained hotel. Instead, we arrived to a property that looked worn down, poorly maintained, and full of cheap or temporary repairs. It honestly felt like a bait-and-switch or a "gotcha" situation. I am extremely dissatisfied with our stay. A few minor problems would be understandable, but this was issue after issue throughout the property. The overall condition, pool, hot tub, maintenance, lighting, breakfast, and lack of basic supplies all contributed to an experience that was nowhere near what I expected or what I feel I paid for. I would not stay here again, and I would absolutely not recommend this property to my friends, family, or anyone else I know. I hope management takes this review seriously, because there is a significant difference between a property being imperfect and a property being allowed to deteriorate to the point where guests feel misled by the way it is advertised.

  My sons birthday is late in the year so we book a weekend at this hotel to utilize the indoor pool area. They have an outside patio area where food can be brought there. Been doing this for at least 4 years now and never had issues. They allow 5 guest bands per room for swimming. Great for small birthdays like my sons.

  Overall, we love staying at this location. We've stayed yearly for the last 7 or so years. The front lobby is always clean and inviting. The front desk staff we've encountered are always friendly and greet us as soon as appropriate (they smile and acknowledge us if currently helping another guest) and apologize if it takes a minute to get to us. (Unsure of the gals name, but she was mid-late 30s, and had a bluish hint to her very curly hair- she was very friendly!) The breakfast area is always top notch and very clean. The only thing we have ever noticed was this last stay, the eggs were seasoned whereas previous years, they were plain. For us personally, we prefer them plain so we can do just salt & pepper. But again, our own opinion and taste preference. The pool area can get bit slippery, but as long as people walk, they do just fine. The pool itself has a deepest part of 3ft and contains a small frog slide and a bit bigger regular slide, as well as a mushroom. We do miss the other climbing/floating items in the pool, but after seeing the amount of kids that were in the pool Saturday, it was probably better they are no longer in the pool. There was a younger gentleman making sure clean towels were getting placed as soon as they got used up, which was wonderful. Our room and bathroom were very clean, as they always are when we stay. We did notice the shower head water pressure was a bit lacking, but we expect that to happen at most hotels. It was still manageable with long, thick hair. Overall, we enjoyed our stay (2 adults, 2 kids ages 4&8). Can't wait to return!
