  My family will NEVER stay at a Holiday Inn Express again! Even though their facilities are clean and swanky, their customer service reps - at both the local and corporate levels - are snooty, entitled, and self-righteous beyond all reason. My 20-year-old daughter, traveling alone on a business trip, reserved a room for a Monday night but then realized she needed to cancel the reservation just an hour after she booked it. The receptionist agreed to cancel it but failed to tell her that she would be charged THE FULL AMOUNT - over $215 - regardless of letting them know several hours ahead of time that she couldn't make it. My daughter had the courtesy to free up her room for another customer, and they penalized her for it! We called the hotel directly and explained the situation. They flatly refused to refund her money. We appealed to customer service at the IHG website and, after hours receiving the run around, were refused with just as much rudeness as at the local level. From now on, we will stay at Choice Hotels only. They may not be as "smart" as Holiday Inn Express, but they are significantly more understanding and cooperative. I'll take respect and compassion over upscale manipulation and greed any day. *Since I cannot find a "reply" button to this hotel's response, I will extend my review and "reply" here: 1. She booked the reservation WITHIN the 24-hour period, so it was impossible for her to cancel it 24 hours in advance. 2. We shouldn't have had to fight for her to be legally robbed of "only" $100. 3. She has definitely learned a few things: Don't make big purchases when you're stressed, scared, or tired; always read the fine print; and when travelling, put a big red "X" over all IHG properties. "Policy" is what corrupt companies hide behind to justify customer abuse.

  Our first room was 206 and smelled like a filthy wet dog. Amanda, front desk clerk, was very helpful and moved us to 316 which didn’t smell like a wet dog but the bathroom smelled like urine. I cleaned the toilets and floor using soap and water which worked for a while but the smell is permanently etched into that floor, I believe. This hotel should be designated as a Dog Kennel. Gross.

  178.00 for one night. Super 8 across was 135 with better internet

  Terrible internet quality. The super8 across the street has exponentially better internet. I fail to get 1mb/s here. Super8 across the street will give me 900mb/s. Also $150+/night is insane but I guess they’ll charge what they can get away with. Staff is good. Cleaners and front desk try to be as helpful as possible.
