- JTJessica TaseskiJul 2, 20264.0Incredible stay, but zero flexibility for exhausted traveling families Our family was in town for a wedding this past weekend, and honestly, almost everything about this hotel was a solid 5-star experience. The property and rooms were exceptionally clean, the beds were incredibly comfortable, the shower had amazing water pressure, and the breakfast was amazing every morning. The pool was also a massive highlight—it was a ton of fun for both the adults and the kids. The only reason I cannot give this hotel a perfect score is their rigid check-in policy. We traveled nearly 1,000 miles with two very little children. By the time we arrived, the kids were absolutely exhausted from being stuck in car seats for so long. As a mother, my only priority was getting them into a real bed to rest. However, despite explaining our situation, the front desk would not budge on their hard 3:00 PM check-in time—not even by a half hour. While I understand hotels have policies, I firmly believe there should be a sliver of exception or compassion for families traveling across the country with toddlers and babies. Even offering a small early check-in fee would have been a massive help. It was incredibly disappointing to be turned away during a stressful moment, especially because the rest of our stay was absolutely incredible. If you don't need an early check-in, I highly recommend this hotel. But if you are traveling long distances with littles, just be prepared for zero flexibility at the front desk.
