  What you get with an HI Express varies quite a bit. This one was at the top end. Some happy hour snacks and drinks available on arrival, plus a breakfast that offered a good range of food. The room was sizeable and clean too.

  Janelle and Lindsey both need reviewed by cooperate. I have been here for quite some time so take my word. I do know this review with result in backlash but simply can not stand this anymore. I booked my reservation directly with Lindsey at the front counter and she had promised me the government rate of $110. This is NOT due to a miscommunication, I flat out asked do you have government rate available for my entire stay and she said absolutely, it is 130 and change per night after taxes. This is the ONLY reason i decided to stay here. I would have gone anywhere else if I knew the rate was not as promised. I arrive to check in and what do I hear? I am not booked under the government rate, my rate just for that first night was $213 BEFORE taxes. I am here to help with the fires around Chadron so I have to stay and the government is paying for my room which I assume is why my price is so high. I had told Joana at check in that I was promised the government rate and she had related to the managers. I finally spoke to the general manager Janelle about a week later, what an absolute joke. You can fake being nice all you want but eventually everyone will still see through it. She has said for weeks now "im going to get that fixed i am SO sorry, I dont know how that happened". Well.... Maybe if she actually held workers accountable for their actions this wouldn't happen. If one of your employees falsely promises a rate that falls on you as their manager. I would also like to mention just how often I have seen these two on smoke breaks instead of working their job. Lindsey will make people wait for upwards of 20 minutes for her to finish her smoke break while she's loudly on the phone cursing and gossiping. What a joke. IHG needs to clean house with this one. I have heard Janelle say some very messed up things about her guests and her employees. No one should be subject to her psychotic behavior. She is absolutely not fit to be a manager if she can not simply control herself at her job. I absolutely believe that my rate was jacked up because I am here for the fires and have to stay. I have been forced to switch rooms due to maintenance issues too many times to count, in one room I had no hot water for a week and in the another the sink would not drain. The entire hotel is falling apart and fully put that on the general manager. If you are coming to Chadron either stay with family or stay out of town.

  Easy to find, good parking, clean room, helpful staff and very quiet. Their is fast food and gas stations within walking distance.

  I really thought about making this comment. I stayed here a few weeks ago and watched a male housekeeper creeping on a female worker. Women beware: housekeeper Johnanthan is not a safe person to be alone with. He has stalked me personally before until i had contacted authorities and told him. He is known in town as someone who is not a safe individual. Please beware. I will not be staying here again, I do not know why he would be employed here when it is known what he does.

  I came through and checked in after a twelve hour motorcycle ride on my way to Sturgis. The hotel advertises a guest laundry. It was something I really needed only to find out that they were out of laundry detergent. As a business, they should have corrected and anticipated thiis . I was told I could always run up to Walmart and buy my own.This is not the way you run a business. Well before they ran out of detergent, somebody from that staff should’ve saw to it that traveling guests would be accommodated. Secondly, this Hotel no longer offers in-room coffee makers .They expect you to get up in the morning, get dressed, take the elevator down to the lobby and get coffee. This is a terrible business decision. For the prices that this hotel charges this is outrageous. Suffice it to say I will never stop at this hotel again.
