  Wasn't impressed. Rooms were dirty and didn't even have bedding for the pull out.

  I booked my room through Priceline and had to book a handicap accessible room due to my husband being in a wheelchair. When I checked in, they gave me a room on the second floor after verifying that I did indeed need a wheelchair accessible room. The room that we were given had stained carpet, felt dirty and had stains in the shower as well. We decide to make the best of it even though this is NOT what I would expect at a Holiday Inn Express. The following morning we packed our bags and headed out only to learn that the ONLY elevator they had was out of order. Nobody bothered notifying us or offer any assistance knowing that my husband was disabled. There was a gentleman down the hall who worked there and he went to the front desk to see what we could do to get my husband downstairs. There was another lady in the hallway who was surprised that we had been put on the second floor because according to her the elevator was always broken. Eventually another lady came up and said they had called the fire department…seriously!!! At this point, my husband was getting frustrated and he wheeled himself to an exit and was able to get out of his wheelchair and slide down the dirty stairs. I had to make 3 trips up and down the steps to get his wheelchair down along with our bags. Absolutely nobody offered assistance. Upon leaving the hotel, we were told by front desk staff that they were sorry for what had happened and that they would provide us with a 100% refund. I got the number and email address of the manager, Alice, who refuses to take my calls or respond to emails. Needless to say they didn’t provide any sort of refund. Save your money, stay somewhere else!!!

  Devils Lake ND is very remote so I understand this hotel wouldn't be the best...but I wouldn't stay here ever again. The location is fine, central to the small town. I think that ends the positives. The hallway smelled like cat pee and mildew. My room was gross, and I sucked it up because there isn't much else in the area. I am a military guy and would rather stay in a tent. The entry to my room had a large black stain as you walked in. Crime scene? The bed has a mattress cover that was once gold colored... it is now gold and heavily stained with black something -mold?. The TV would cut in and out, almost like it was still on rabbit ears. The breakfast was also something. I liked the coffee /tea area but the food itself was minimal and the fruit looked like it was frozen for the last decade as I have never seen a once red apple look like this. Grand Forks is great, (Olive Ann Hotel) so if I came back I would do that long drive to Devils Lake from GF. One additional point. This hotel was more expensive than the 4 star hotel in GF. 175-195 per day for this hotel is assinine.

  We had reservations here in July 2026. From the outside of the building to the moment we went to unlock our room we were very disappointed and ended up not staying. Lack of cleanliness, room condition and front desk staff were the top reasons not to stay. I called the next day and spoke with the manger on duty. She was nice, understanding and apologetic. She said she would give us points for the inconvenience but did not. We also call Holiday Inn headquarters and nobody called us back. We always use Holiday Inn Express when traveling and have never encountered these issues.
