  This is Momma's favorite getaway beach weekend! I've been twice and the location, the interior design, the friendly staff - just can't be beat! The food at the Solstice restaurant is also great. Had the Mahi and it was perfectly seasoned. Beachfront access and the oceanfront rooms are beautiful and spacious. The price is solid for the view! See you all again next year!

  My husband and I just returned from a great stay at the Lumina. The hotel & staff exceeded our expectations! Beautiful hotel, immaculate and fantastic staff! Location is perfect. The resort has Indoor and outdoor pools and is located right on the beach. Great for families or couples. We had the breakfast buffet, lunch and drinks at the hotel - all delicious. We will be back! This hotel should be 4 star, not 3!

  Beautiful modern beach vibes throughout the hotel and our standard sunset view room had great views of the intercoastal waterway. The room was cozy, beds were soft, toiletries were provided and the hotel was surprisingly quiet with no neighbor or road noise — though I wouldn’t recommend staying near the elevator because the pinging noise can be heard throughout the night. Beach access and foot wash stations were very convenient, along with the coffee shop and friendly bell/shuttle staff who drove us to dinner at a local restaurant. The Mother’s Day décor was a nice touch for photo memories. A few cons to our stay were some cleaning details that were missed in the room including stained sheets, mysterious wall stains around the bed & bathroom areas, and yellow shower grout, which was disappointing for the “premium” stay. Also be aware there is an additional $30+ resort fee per night, however parking is included. Overall, still a very enjoyable stay with great amenities and being right on the beach.

  I stayed at The Lumina Wrightsville Beach for the North Carolina PACE Association Conference and wanted to recognize their staff for their exceptional service. When I first checked in, I knew my reservation was split between two rooms. Sofia at the front desk initially provided keys for the first room, but then went above and beyond by calling me back to let me know she was able to secure me an oceanfront room that I could stay in for the duration of my visit—so I didn’t have to move rooms at all. She easily could have left things as they were, requiring me to unpack and repack, but instead took the extra step to make my stay seamless. Truly excellent customer service. During my time at Solstice Kitchen + Cocktails, Bella was phenomenal—kind, polite, incredibly friendly, and so helpful in answering my questions and assisting with confirming a large dinner group reservation. I’d also like to highlight my server, Adeline. She patiently walked me through the menu, answered all my questions, and was extremely accommodating. I began my meal outside, but when it became too cold and windy, she quickly got me settled inside and continued providing the same exceptional level of service.  She served our group on the second night as well & again, went above and beyond! Even Shannon at the front entrance, on her VERY FIRST DAY went above and beyond to help us unpack conference items from the car. She even carried a box up the stairs since it wouldn’t fit in the elevator. I would also be remiss not to recognize Wes, who helped coordinate our conference set up. He did a spectacular job—truly on top of everything—with excellent communication and service throughout. His attention to detail and organization made a big difference in our experience. What stood out most about my stay is that this level of care wasn’t limited to just a few individuals—every staff member I encountered exhibited excellent customer service. In fact, throughout our conference sessions, both presenters and attendees commented multiple times on the exceptional level of service provided by the hotel team. If there’s one overarching theme at this hotel, it’s that the staff genuinely put the guest first and take pride in creating outstanding experiences. Every interaction made me feel welcomed and well cared for.

  We had a great time and the hotel is beautiful. I was here during the renovation a few years ago and the updates are very nice. Love the indoor and outdoor pool options and various dining on site. Staff were really helpful and went out of their way to help us have a great stay.
