  Honestly the nicest staff and best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Sam was absolutely wonderful to deal with. Never had a hotel so courteous and will to help and guys like Sam make this an experience that wants you to keep coming back. 5 star ++++++ and no I’m not paid just a normal guest

  My Son and I went to Wilmington N.C. to see my grandson and his wife we stayed here over night all the staff was awesome 💯 per/cent . Thank you Holiday Inn Express for your kind employees Shirley Hathcock

  Being privately owned, I’d imagine that hospitality would be a priority. I stand corrected, and my first sign to choose a different hotel was the initial phone call. When I called with questions about booking, I was met with overwhelming hostility. The ladies at the front desk were busy, and I’m not blaming them for that, completely out of their control. The disappointment lies in their tone and lack of communication with each other and myself. This led to my reservation being cancelled when I was five mines away from the hotel. It took me four hours to get there. When I arrived, the front desk lady was STILL rude. She claimed to be the GM, and was extremely short with me. The only person who was kind to me was Julia. Julia came in the next morning, smile on her face and willingness to help me. She put customers first, and demonstrated what hospitality look like despite her own personal challenges. We ended up having a nice conversation and this is what I expected to be greeted with over the phone and in person upon my arrival. Not a general manager who hates her job and doesn’t know how to interact with people. Hospitality is a big part of keeping loyal patrons, after this…. I’m highly considering getting rid of my IHG membership. This stay was awful.

  Near the beach, so it is a great spot if you are planning to go to Carolina Beach or near waterfront attractions. The room was very clean. Includes free continental breakfast 6-10 on weekends and 6-9:30 on weekdays. The breakfast is very good, I counted more than 10 meals and 4 different fruit juices to select from. Has a free 24h tea and coffee station. There is also a similar station on the rooms. The check in was fast and cordial, also the check out. The hotel includes for free a gym, a laundry room and the pool. The room had a total black out courting, which I really appreciated. Also there is in the bathroom hand soap, body wash, shampoo and conditioner, and body lotion all big enough, so it will last if you are planning staying a week or more. The only issue is that you can hear everything that happens in the hallway, even low talking. The doors shuts really loudly, so you can hear it laud and clear, also you can hear people running or walking above your room. So I would recommend noise free rooms on weekends , when it is more crowded. In general is a good hotel. I definitely recommend it.
