  This was the craziest experience I've ever had a hotel in my life. My birthday, I check in alone spent an hr there waiting and when I show back up at 230am I can't find my key and asked the front desk to help me get into my room. I can't remember my room number because I'm drunk on my birthday, she refused to look me up refused me service went in the back and would not answer me would not help I was practically begging to be let into my room and she completely refused me service not only that as I'm getting more and more angry because all I want to do is go to sleep I go outside to smoke a cigarette and then she comes to the desk and locks me out of the lobby! It was my birthday, I' had a long nigh and all I wanted to do was go sleep. She directly staring at me from the desk now after she locks me out. I didn't know what else to do but call the cops, my stuff is still in the room and this crazy front desk attendant refused to help me just get into my room in the middle of the night so I could go to sleep. Cops showed up and I tell them what happened and they get her side and then of course now she's kicking me out of the hotel and I had to go with the cops to get my stuff out of the room that I paid for and get forced to sit on the sidewalk for an hr after that trying to find any ride service to come get me and take me back to my friend's house at the beach. So far I've been trying to get a refund trying to find the number of the GM of this specific hotel and can't find it, I've called corporate and the only thing they'd do is contacted an assistant manager at this hotel this morning to try to get them to refund me and was told the only thing they were refunding was $50 deposit, after I refused help to get in my room, and locked out then kicked out 3am for literally asking just to get let into my room so I could go to sleep. So for the GM reading this you owe me a full refund, I didn't even take a shower or sleep in the bed all did was check and go to my birthday show and try to get back into my room in the middle of the night and that crazy front desk girl saw that I was a little drunk and started grilling me about what room number I had and didn't even attempt to take my ID and look me up by the reservation I had under my name and now you're not going to refund me after all of that? This is absolutely insane.

  Stayed here the weekend of April 3rd 2026. Breakfast is good and the room was fine. Few things missed by the maids in the room, but overall OK. Location is short distance to downtown which is convenient. However, you will see a lot of homeless folks right around the hotel due to the facilities that are right near it on that road. Do not book this hotel if you wanna swim in the pool. You couldn’t even see in it, the water was so gross. I went back and saw other reviews from even a year ago about this so they aren’t doing anything about it.

  2 out of 3 staff members that I have met are very rude. Maybe I look like a vagrant, I am not, but I shouldn't be treated that way because im here on business and not vacationing. Im diamond elite but wasn't treated as such. I stay in motels every night of the week all year long and this is the worst I've been treated.

  I am beyond frustrated and deeply disappointed with my experience at this IHG Hotels & Resorts property. As a member, I expected at least a basic level of professionalism and reliability—but this was a complete failure. Waiting until 6:30 PM for a room that should have been ready at the guaranteed check-in time is absolutely unacceptable. After a long and exhausting day of travel, being left in limbo with no room, no clear communication, and no sense of urgency from the staff is incredibly disrespectful. It shows a serious breakdown in management and a complete disregard for guests’ time and comfort. What makes this even worse is the lack of accountability—no proper explanation, no apology that felt genuine, and no attempt to make things right. This is not the level of service anyone should expect, especially from a brand that claims to value its members. This experience has significantly damaged my trust in this property. Unless there are major improvements in how they manage operations and treat their guests, I would strongly advise others to stay elsewhere.

  I had a very disappointing experience at this Holiday Inn Express & Suites property. It was already 6:30 PM and our room was still not ready, which is completely unacceptable—especially when traveling with my pregnant wife who had to wait for hours in discomfort. What made things worse was the cleanliness. Once we finally got access, we noticed what looked like someone’s nail clipping on the sofa, clearly indicating the room was not properly cleaned or inspected before check-in. This is basic hygiene that should never be overlooked. As an IHG Hotels & Resorts member, I expected much better standards, but this experience showed poor management, lack of cleanliness, and no regard for guest comfort. I would not recommend staying here unless they seriously improve their housekeeping and check-in processes.
