My husband and I had a great time doing this zipline tour for our anniversary! Sofia and Lane were our guides, and they were great. Sofia was super knowledgeable and Lane was very genuine. The dad jokes throughout were very groan-inducing in the way that you have to be cool to appreciate. They let us have a lot of fun with photos and the lines throughout (while, of course, making sure we were safe).
The lines are FAST! And they can break hard, so I wouldn't recommend it if you don't do well with hard stops.
As the cherry on top, Sofia held on to one of my earrings in her backpack because it fell out. I forgot to get it back at the end of the tour, and when I called to see if they could find it, the manager I reached was not only super friendly and helpful, but he also found it right away and dropped it in the mail immediately! Great customer service.
Everyone working there should get a raise.

The Gorge zip Line was the most exhilarating event I had ever done. Not only was it accelerating, but it made your adrenaline flow and my adrenaline was flowing with each zip line we did and there was 11 of them!! The Gorge brochure says they’re the steepest and the fastest. I am verifying that each each zip line we did was steep and fast.
Our guide/instructors, Cheyenne and Mitchell made the event safe and made it fun😀. They even had names for each of the zip lines like one zip line was love so that meant when you took off on your zip line you had to be yelling what you love as you zipped through the Gorge.
The group was small. It was me and just two other girls and of course, Cheyenne and Mitchell. Not sure who was crazier and funnier, Cheyenne and Mitchell or the two girls Melissa and Rachel. It was like a zip line party all the way.!! It was the best birthday party I ever had (yep, it was birthday)
I could go on forever talking about my experience zip lining at the Gorge, but I’m not. I’m telling you to go online look up the Gorge at Saluda. Read the reviews and then pack your bags and go to Saluda North Carolina and zip line at the Gorge and have the greatest experience you will have in a lifetime!!
Oh yes, and ask for Cheyenne and Mitchell . You will not regret it. They will make sure you have the best experience you’ll ever have.

If you're even thinking about zip lining at The Gorge, stop thinking and just do it.
I came for the adrenaline but stayed for the comedy show courtesy of our incredible guides, Luke and Cheyenne. These two deserve a raise, a trophy, and probably their own reality TV series.
Luke somehow managed to make launching myself off platforms hundreds of feet in the air seem like a perfectly reasonable life choice. Calm, knowledgeable, and hilariously funny, he kept everyone laughing while making safety his top priority.
Cheyenne was equally amazing! She had the perfect mix of encouragement, confidence, and quick wit. Every time my brain whispered, "This is a terrible idea," she'd somehow convince me it was actually the best decision I'd made all year.
Together, they were like the Batman and Robin of zip lining—except with better jokes and significantly more harnesses.
The scenery at The Gorge was absolutely breathtaking, actually GORGE-OUS, but honestly, Luke and Cheyenne elevated the entire experience. They made everyone feel comfortable, kept the energy high, and somehow turned a group of strangers into a team of fearless (or at least pretending to be fearless) adventurers.
Five stars isn't enough. I'd give them six if gravity would allow it. Thanks for an unforgettable experience filled with laughs, incredible views, and just the right amount of controlled terror. I'll definitely be back... after my legs stop shaking.

What an incredible Father’s Day experience at The Gorge! Our family had an absolute blast. From soaring through the air on the ziplines to crossing the sky bridge and tackling the rappels, every moment was filled with excitement and adventure. The views were absolutely stunning, the adrenaline rush was unforgettable, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations.
One of the highlights was descending 1,100 vertical feet through untouched wilderness. The scenery was breathtaking, and it felt like stepping into a world untouched by time. It was the perfect combination of natural beauty and heart-pounding adventure.
A huge shoutout to the amazing team for making our day so special. Everyone was welcoming, professional, and genuinely fun to be around. Special thanks to Vito and Mitchell, who were outstanding instructors. Their knowledge, patience, encouragement, and sense of humor immediately put everyone at ease. Any nervousness we had quickly disappeared thanks to their expertise and reassuring guidance.
They made sure our family felt safe, comfortable, and confident throughout the entire adventure while still making it incredibly fun. Their enthusiasm was contagious and truly made the experience even more memorable.
If you’re looking for an unforgettable outdoor adventure filled with adrenaline, spectacular views, and an exceptional staff, The Gorge is an absolute must-do. We made amazing memories as a family and can’t wait to come back!

My husband, two kids and I did zip lining this past Saturday. We were paired up with another family of three, totaling seven of us plus two guides. I wanted to share both our positives and negatives of this experience:
Positives:
1. Really beautiful views - you start higher than you expect and Zipline down over 1,000 feet throughout the course.
2. Easy to find location - we came in from Charlotte and this was easy to get to.
3. Safety is very, very important to their entire team from start to finish.
Negatives:
1. This course was soooo long. This entire experience totaled over 4 hours and much of it felt like we were standing around and just waiting. We all agreed we would have liked to have been done after the 6th zipline. For reference, there are 11 zip lines and 3 repels.
2. Inefficient in moving you through the course. This contributed to the total time. The two guides were working very hard, but ultimately it was just a really slow process. The family we were paired with had done a bunch of zip lining in other parts and mentioned that they normally have someone stationed at each platform/line to just keep people moving. Collectively as a group, we all decided this was just way too long.
3. They take photos on an iPhone, which is nice, but then they wait until the very end to tell you that you can have the photos for $35. I would have rather brought my own phone and taken photos for my family along the way.
4. One of our guides was really great (Sage) and our other guide (Emma) was incredibly bossy. We heard Emma several times get on to Sage about how she was doing things wrong - even though Sage commented that the course manager (Josh) had trained her - and Emma just flat out told her in front of the entire group that Josh doesn’t do things right. Not only was it uncomfortable to listen to, but it was very unprofessional on Emma’s part. I felt like Sage was great to connect with and get to know and I felt bad for her with the way Emma was speaking to her.
5. Not that anything can be done about this last part, but the car ride winding back up to the outpost will make you sick. Both my husband and I were so car sick by the time we got back to the outpost, and we never get car sick. We had to close our eyes.
6. Snacks and water provided - but I’d bring your own water too. There was not really enough water for everyone and we only stopped once to have some water. My older son was incredibly thirsty even after the water break and as we continued on. He kept being told there was lemonade too, but he was never given any.
As a family, we were glad we tried this but we would not come back again.
