  Where to start. Check-in process was a mess and took forever. Everywhere in the hotel smells like smoke and was just simply dirty (walls and carpet). I went to room we were supposed to get while my buddy waited in room key. While there, saw someone come out of room…not a cleaning person with the cart. They had a backpack on. Then when we got into the room, everything seemed fine…until we noticed the mold, stuff in the sink, and pubic hair on the bathroom floor. The room had clearly been being used by someone. This hotel needs some serious cleaning and updating. The only positive was the friendly nature of the front desk person checking us in.

  Not clean. Giant glob of toothpaste on the floor when we got in, mold/mildew in the bathroom, and lots of evidence that housekeeping is not doing an adequate job here. Felt gross the whole stay.

  We had an exceptional experience thanks to Craig at the front desk. Our daughter was staying at a nearby hotel that was unsatisfactory and unsanitary, so she needed to check out immediately. Although Craig had already informed us that the hotel was at capacity, he went above and beyond by reaching out to the General Manager to see if anything could be done. To our surprise and relief, Craig was able to find an available room—right next to ours! Craig, thank you so much for going the extra mile to make sure our family had everything we needed. Your kindness, personable nature, and positive attitude made our stay that much more enjoyable. Your exceptional customer service truly made a difference, and we greatly appreciate everything you did for us!

  My stay was okay overall. Craig at the front desk was super sweet and helpful! I did have to request a room change because the first room smelled like smoke, but the second room was fine—just SUPER cold. 😂 A few things to know: you have to flip the switches by the door for some of the lights to work, and the TV seemed to only have cable—I didn’t see an option to stream. The hotel is a little older, the hot water was a little tricky, and the queen-size beds felt small and weren’t the most comfortable. The location is definitely a plus since it’s right by Crabtree Valley Mall. I personally probably wouldn’t stay again because I think the property could use a really good deep clean and some remodeling/updating. It wasn’t a horrible stay by any means, it just needs a little TLC.

  This is a reasonably-priced hotel with great service, in a convenient location. We appreciate the full-sized fridge and dishes, as well as the bathtub, which you don't get in many hotels anymore. The property is quiet and seems safe. Candlewood Suites Raleigh Crabtree has become our first choice for our frequent Raleigh visits.
