  Nicest hotel we stayed in New Bern NC. Service was excellent from check in to check out. Only Hotel in New Bern ( we stayed at least Five other) offers hot breakfast. But if you are snackers like us bring your own snacks. Hotel charged us $ xx for 2 small bags of chops n 1 soda. There are no walking distance convient store.

  We had a wonderful experience at this hotel! I think this was our favorite place I've ever stayed on vacation -- we needed a room on short notice because we added one more stop to our road trip, and booked this hotel because of the location and wonderful reviews! It was so great, I will be saving it and coming back next time we visit this area! The person who greeted us, Ty, was so kind and friendly, and really helped us out during our stay. He knew we had checked in super late (at 2am!) and without us even asking (or expecting) they let us have late checkout without any additional cost (which is just so incredibly kind!) The lobby and rooms are so spacious, clean, and welcoming! The beds were sooooo comfortable and I love that they have the choice of soft or firm pillows on the bed and labeled on the pillowcase. The shower was so clean and worked perfectly, and again was so spacious! They also offer amenities if you forget toothpaste or other basic essentials, which is so helpful! We loved the delicious breakfast too! They had so much on offer and on Sunday breakfast goes a little later, which I really appreciate (I woke up in a panic at 9am thinking I'd missed breakfast, but I hadn't!). The coffee machine was great and one of the staff taught me how to use their pancake maker! I also really appreciated the cold bottled water offered at breakfast! It was a small thing that made a big difference in my day! Oh, and they have an ice machine on EVERY floor! Thank you again for everything!! And thank you Ty for all your help!

  Wanted my room freshened up but the didnt happen. 3 day stay, breakfast was Great. Nice locatin, everything nearby. Very quiet and peaceful. Will come again....

  There’s quite a bit to unpack with this stay. The floors were filthy — my slippers turned black from walking around the room, and the shower looked like someone had walked through it in muddy work boots. One of the pillows even had mold on it, which I photographed immediately. The bed and pillows were also very uncomfortable, making it difficult to get quality sleep. The microwave was so small I couldn’t even fit my travel coffee mug inside to reheat coffee, and the refrigerator continuously leaked water onto my food. The coffee itself was terrible as well. The WiFi was unreliable the entire stay and completely down for two full days. The lobby computer/printer was broken when we arrived and was still broken 10 days later when we checked out. The walls are paper thin — I could hear the people next door as well as every footstep from the room above me. On top of that, housekeeping repeatedly let doors slam throughout the halls instead of propping them open while cleaning. The water pressure could’ve been much better, and the shower head settings weren’t great either. To top it all off, the check-in process was incredibly frustrating. We were asked to provide our government orders for the government rate. I explained that I could provide my government-issued ID, but the employee insisted orders were required and placed the hotel’s policy in front of me. Ironically, the policy itself stated that government orders were optional, while a government-issued ID was required. Despite that, my employee and I were not allowed to check in until we emailed copies of our orders to the hotel. That situation was handled very poorly and felt completely unnecessary. Overall, this stay was far below expectations and not somewhere I’d choose again.
