  Great team! Jaime, Shala and clean-up team was great. The lobby area was very productive, e.g., desk, internet, etc. They are working on improving the general purpose HP printer in the business area.

  We spent the night here on 08/22/2026. We left home at the Outer Banks for our destination in Hiawassee Georgia and Marion was a good stopping point. When we’re on the road we often times stay at a HI Express. The service and accommodations are always very good.Plus their daily hot breakfast buffet is a good way to start the day/journey onward .our room was very nice, as usual. Clean, comfortable and quiet. The bedding nd pillows were good and the bathroom was spotless.This hotel was only 7 years old so it was in prime condition. Tiled floors were well made nd lid. The carpeting was in perfect condition ( I liked the zany design with the hallway carpeting.)Theres plenty of parking and an EV charger also. It may be HI’s policy of low landfill waste or maybe it’s just a cost savings for the corporation, but I like their use of pump bottled soaps, shampoo , conditioner and lotion, instead of all the tiny plastic bottles that you might be accustomed to see at hotels/motels. I’m guessing that it prevents 100s of thousands of bottles across the corporation from entering into landfills. I applaud the effort. Saying that, I have mixed emotions about the absence of coffee makers in the guest rooms. At least here, they quit having them. I guess it’s a similar idea as with the soap bottles, No plastic waste. No messy coffee grounds . No stir sticks (plastic). No sugar wrappers. Another huge amount of waste going into the landfills. But, and I mean but, my wife and I are the kind of people that like slow mornings, i,e, we wake up, have a couple of cups of coffee and watch the news in our pajamas. But now, if you want coffee here, you need to get dressed, walk down or elevator down to the breakfast area, get your coffee and go back to the room. Only to do it again after the first cup is finished. What makes it even more aggravating is that instead of large, easy to access coffee urns, that you are accustomed to see at motels/hotels in common areas, they now have coffee machines that grind fresh coffee beans, brew it and dispense it for each and every cup. Is the coffee good? It’s very good, but it takes maybe 2 minutes to go through the motions and if you need two cups (one for your self and one for your spouse/friend) you need t stay at the machine for 4-5 miniutes. No big deal? Well, it’s a big deal when there is a line behind you of anxious guests who want there coffee and maybe/or maybe not want to make small talk to strangers while 4-5 people or more are ahead of them getting coffee. My question for management is, why don’t you supplement these brewing machines with ready made coffee in large urns so the guest can get their morning joe more conveniently and quickly. This isn’t going to keep us coming back to HI Express, but now it’s a discouragement. I still recommend the hotel.

  Clean, super clean hotel! We had a guestroom, used the pool, used the downstairs restroom, weight room, breakfast area, and foyer. I'll say it again, CLEAN! Staff is kind and very helpful. Bed was so comfy. Loved the pool.

  Very nice and professional staff. Accommodated my request for early check in. Room was clean and comfortable.
