  This was a very nice place to stay for the money. The room was clean and spacious and we had a good night's sleep. The check-in person was friendly but very difficult to hear as she has a very soft voice.

  It's in my profile everything i book with IHG yet nobody reads the profile, I always ask for ground floor yet im on the 5th floor next to an elevator, which I asked not to be near one, I'm told that's all they had available when I booked in advance, I know how the hotel business goes, they preserve the rooms for whomever they want! I'm a Diamond Elite member and this is the service I get, I hate calling once I book my room to make sure they follow instructions but it looks like that's what im gonna do, moving forward!

  I booked this hotel in advance while traveling with two cats during a long-distance move. It was the perfect halfway point, and I appreciated that it was pet‑friendly, even with the additional fee. During the drive, I realized we would be arriving around 2:00 am, so I called the hotel earlier in the evening to let them know. Unfortunately, the clerk who answered seemed irritated by the update. She told me I should have “followed the instructions,” implied that my late arrival caused problems for the night audit, and made comments that left me unsure whether my room would still be held. The tone of the conversation caused unnecessary stress during an already long trip. However, when I called again closer to midnight as instructed, the next staff member was warm, reassuring, and told us to drive safely. Upon arrival, everything went smoothly. The room was clean and comfortable, the pet fee was handled without issue, and the late checkout allowed me to rest before continuing my drive. Overall, the stay itself was great, but the initial phone interaction created a lot of avoidable anxiety.

  We love this place! Check in was so nice. Rooms are very clean. Great comfortable beds.Bathroom so clean, like new. Coff & Breakfast Great! Location is great. Very safe. Price is so reasonable! Great stay as usual! Thank-you !

  I am a Diamond Elite member of IHG for years, and do about 80-100 nights per year in IHG properties. In fact, I stayed at this particular HIE on the day it opened, I think in 2021. It was a massive upgrade from the Hampton Inn next door (won't get started on the Honors program). Anyway, this is one of my go-to locations and also that of my team of servicemen who travel to the Fayetteville area. We gave up on the Fayetteville / Cedar Creek facility due to security concerns (one guy got carjacked, another had his truck burgled of tools, etc) so we're pretty exclusively HIE Lumberton atm. SO - I went to check in, as usual, on 04/09/26. And, as usual, I said to the woman at the front desk "High floor, please", to which she replied - most UNUSAULLY - "Our policy is TO NOT CHANGE A ROOM ONCE IT'S BEEN ASSIGNED UNLESS THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH IT. I replied "Seriously? There are about 7 cars, including mine, in the parking lot". She said that is the policy of the management. I said "Can I speak to the manager?" to which she replied "I am the manager"; "Oh, so this is YOUR policy" to which she replied "It's the policy of the owners". I said "You know, I've been staying here literally since the day you opened, and I've never been told this before" To which this charmer replied "Sir, I'm not going to argue with you". I said "You're certainly not going to argue with me, what is the name of the person in charge here?" and then she said "I'M NOT PLAYING THAT GAME" and refused to tell me who the manager is ........ REALLY? Oh, by the way, I HAD ALREADY BEEN ASSIGNED TO THE HIGH FLOOR, RM 510. What a miserable person to put at the front desk! I'll be in Hope Mills from now on, and about 8 other people as well.
