  Matt Meany Hotel Manager Best Western Kernersville 1570 NC Hwy 66 Kernersville, NC 27284 I was invited by the family to preside over a Funeral service and Interment in Winston-Salem North Carolina for their dearly departed. The family of the deceased chose your establishment to house the Out-of-town guest who would be attending the Celebration of Life. My time at your hotel was acceptable until check-out time. The sect’y from my Church called and arranged for an extended check-out time. The staff at your Hotel charged the CC on-file for the incidental charge of $25.00 for the late check out. Here’s where things went off-line. The charge was accepted and the extended check out time was granted. We left the room and exited the rear door to the parking spaces in the back of the hotel. After a few minutes returning to the Hotel, the access card did not allow us access to the rear door. We proceeded to the front door and made our way to Room 113 and the access was denied again. When we entered the front door, there was no one attending at the Front Desk. When we returned back to the Front Desk, there was still no one around to make an inquiry about this unfortunate event. We went back to the room and the housekeeper allowed us entrance back into the room. Extended time was granted and the incidental charge was taken from the Cc on-file. Why wasn’t your computer access extended?!?!?!?!?!? We finally found a clerk at the Front Desk and she stated that the computer automatically locked us out. She said with a stern look on her face almost chastising. We at this point wanted nothing else to do with your establishment and will report this incident to the family who booked these rooms for our accommodations. We asked for a receipt and the clerk stated that there was a problem printing the receipt and she would email it to us. Another problem!!!!! Once, we got to the car that was now parked in front of the hotel, the clerk came running out and stopped us to give us the attached receipt. We are from NYC and this type of unprofessional demeanor would not be accepted or tolerated by Hotel’s and their employees who service paying customers. I am bringing this to your attention because, I’m sure this has happened before and will happen again ….. if not addressed. I’ve attached the PDF receipt of the late fee charge.

  Check in desk was helpful. Dining area for guests is good size. It was all clean. Room was comfortable and clean. Shower worked well too. That really matters. There's parking in front, side, and back. It's a dead end street, so trailers can park right on the street.

  Very clean hotel, friendly professional staff, and convenient location. I will definitely stay here again.

  The Hampton Inn was sold out, that’s where we usually stay, so I booked the Best Western since it had so many positive reviews. Never again! The elevator smells like pee, my comforter smelled like cigarette smoke so I had to get a new one. The comforter on the other bed had stains on it and inside the shower was nasty. Also, the plugs are so lose that I’m unable to charge my cell phone in the room. I do not recommend this hotel.
