  This hotel has an absurd policy that they won’t rent a room to anyone who lives within 50 miles. My dad had emergency surgery today and I am staying with my mom in Concord while he’s critical. This hotel would not rent to me. The desk clerk wasn’t even nice and didn’t offer to even ask if they could help us. We were literally still wearing our hospital visitor badges. I will never stay at another Holiday Inn. This place should not have a franchise. Period. Inexcusable. Also I informed the desk clerk that we live 45 minutes away when I asked for the room.

  Kannapolis water isn’t safe to drink right now—businesses are shutting down because of it. You’d expect a hotel to take that seriously. Holiday Inn doesn’t. They hand you one bottle of water for your entire stay. That’s it. After that, you’re on your own. No support, no solutions—just deal with it. They’ll stay open, take your money, and leave you without something as basic as safe drinking water. Unacceptable.

  Good location. Friendly and helpful staff. Mattresses are terrible and have noticeable divet and dents. My room has 2 beds. 1 is so bad you can see the damage through the sheets. The one im using feels like its about 15 years old. Would not recommend especially at almost 1k for a 5 day visit. What a rip off.

  I Booked A Room From April 10-12. Upon Arrival, Erica At The Front Desk Greeted Us In A Very Friendly Manner. We Checked In Swiftly And Made Our Way To Our Room (220) To Do An Inspection (As I Usually Do Everywhere I Stay) Before Bringing Our Stuff Into The Room. We Found Blood Stains On The Comforter And Chair (It Appeared That Someone Had A Bloody Nose And Wiped It On The Comforter And Blew Their Bloody Boogers On The Chair. We Tested The Lights In Between The Beds And They Started Blinking A Lot Back-And-Forth As If It Was A Rave Party. The Clock Display Was Only Half Working. We Went Back To The Front Desk To Report Our Findings And Erica Was Very Attentive And Swift In Finding Us A New Room (226). This Room Was Actually Better For Us Due To Location Away From Foot Traffic And Elevator, Cleaner, And More Space. We Reported A Missing Smoke Detector And The Maintenance "Sid" Was Very Friendly, Attentive, And Swift In Fixing Our Reported Issues. He Replaced The Smoke Detector And We Left For Dinner And Returned To A Beeping Detector That Would Be Random And Constant. Sid Came Back A Third Time And Fixed It Again (All While Being In Good Spirit And Friendly). The Beds Were Older And You Tend To Sink Into The Bed, But Still Decent Enough To Sleep On It. Minor Cosmetic Issues But Nothing Crazy (Lamp Shades Cracked, Shower Could've Been Cleaner, Iron Board Needs To Be Replaced Due To Really Bad Disgusting Stains, Telephone Doesn't Allow You To Answer, Charging Ports Were Pushed In And Damaged So I Couldn't Charge Anything). When Sleeping At Night, You Can Hear The Road Noise From The Interstate, Mostly From Semi Trucks Rolling By Creating A Vibrating Noise. Our First Night, We Had Banging Sounds From 5am - 6am. (Couldn't Figure Out Where It Was Coming From, It Would Start From One End Of The Room (5am) And Go To The Other End (6am).) The Location Of This Hotel Is Great As It Is Next To The Interstate For Travel Within The Area. It's Also Next To Lots Of Shopping (Walmart, Sams Club, Etc) And Food Places (Most Of Which Is In The Same Direct Area). The Breakfast Was Awesome Compared To Most Other Places, Especially If You Get There At The Beginning. They Had Plenty Of Options From Cereal and Pastries To Eggs and Sausage For The Whole Family Of Any Age To Enjoy. The Facility Was Very Clean For The Most Part And The Service Was Amazing. Erica And Sid Were Awesome During Our Stay And Checkout Was A Breeze As Well. I Would Definitely Recommend This Place To Others Despite A Few Issues As They Were Swiftly Rectified.

  Ran into some issues with my house and realized we would be without running water for a couple of days. We've always had decent luck with Holiday Inn hotels in the past, so I booked a room for 3 nights for myself, my wife, and our 3 year old. Upon receiving the confirmation I saw a note that it's "hotel policy" that nobody that lives within 50 miles of the hotel can check in. I called the front desk and spoke to the woman on the phone who was nice. Explained the situation and she put me on hold to check with her GM. To my surprise the GM told her we weren't welcome to stay there due to living within the 50 miles even given our situation. Take note, whoever is running this location doesn't care about their local community or well-being of their customers. I called a Hilton location and explained the situation and was welcome to stay at their hotel instead.
