I chose this place because of how far away from town it was. I love the architecture, you can definitely see the inspiration of FLW. My was cozy, very clean with a terrace. The bathroom was spacious with heated floors. Which up in the mountains even on warm days you can appreciate the warmth on the cool nights. I just missed a bear out back behind the restaraunt and hotel. So be cautious. I ordered the charcuterie tray which was awesome, I think it was a $20 add on! I loved the sausage. A nice little snack when you arrive. I would highly recommend this place. The only downfall, I stayed on the area where I could hear a lot of noise outside with people coming and going. So maybe ask for a quieter room that’s not on the main path leading up to the restaraunt.

I don't like to leave negative reviews but this hotel has some issues, first being the bartender is EXTREMELY rude & made the time we were there at the bar uncomfortable. Customers were overtly nice to him and he was just flat out rude. Second ths rooms are very noisy, so much that they leave earplugs in the room. there is a dehimidifer and air purifier in the room to mask the mildow and musk smell which is very strong. All my clothes when i got back home smelled very strong of this. The location is amazing and grounds are nice but do your homework as this is an old hotel with old rooms.

This is my second time here, and better than the first. I love the cozy, yet spacious rooms.. with thoughtful design and attention to detail. It is cabin chic. The on sight restaurant, Oak is one the the best in the area. This hotel is a special place!

We were celebrating a birthday. Skyline Lodge did not disappoint! They truly made the birthday feel special from reception to dining! I loved the architectural details throughout the lodge. They have done a great job of maintaining original character with modern comforts such as heated bath floors. We had one of the smaller rooms which I found to be quite comfortable and cozy. The stone fireplace was a neat aesthetic with it's colorful candle light glow. They do have air purifiers and sound machines in the room. We dined at Oak twice with both experiences being excellent. The trout was amazing and the bolognese was rich and creamy! The portions are substantial. The service was excellent. The server from the first night even called us by name the second time dining which is impressive considering how busy they were. Our server on the second night made sure our experience was great as well. They do set up text communications with you for special requests and dinner reservations. We used that without issue on our first night there but the second night did not go through. I showed the host the text thread but it had not been received by the restaurant. He was able to work us in and we were seated within 5 minutes of our originally requested time. I recommend reserving directly with the restaurant. Downtown Highlands is a short drive from the lodge. We enjoyed lunch at The Ugly Dog and Four65 Woodfire Bistro and Bar - both excellent in food and service. We hiked Ranger Falls which was very scenic and Glen Falls being more a path of significant descent with elevation. Overall an excellent experience over several days!
