  I stayed here for work related business trip for a week. I was not expecting the rooms to be as large as it was especially a double queen bed room, I’m assuming it was due to being on the end corner of the. My room was VERY spacious, the hotel staff was very friendly & helpful. Breakfast was included with my stay and it had a wide selection of breakfast options. Another advantage of staying here was that my room was CLEAN AND REFRESHED DAILY which was odd because all other hotels had an every other day housekeeping policy. I would definitely have my job book here should I be working in Catawba County again, in the Hickory area to be specific.

  The staff here was so nice. We were in town for a funeral and we're traveling with elderly parents. I had booked a room under my name (shared with my brother) and my brother had booked a room for our parents (not tech savvy). The evening manager allowed me to add my brothers name to my reservation since he was staying a day longer and allowed my parents to pay for their room and keep it under my brother's name for points (he travels much more for business). The rooms were clean and comfortable beds. The breakfast had a standard large variety of foods including hot selections. IMHO, skip the omelet-style eggs (plain & peppered). Not sure if they are frozen/precooked but they just tasted "off". Super nice staff!! I can't say enough about that aspect. I will definitely mark this on my Goggle Maps for the future. My sister says that hotels closer to her in Conover (near I-40) have gone down hill in the last few years. This location is not like those. Reviews/words/images speak volumes.

  Tara, and all the staff members I interacted with were excellent to deal with! Very good breakfast and the lady that kept up the breakfast area was wonderful! Excellent location! Highly recommend this location! It is the staff that makes the experience great!

  I had a fabulous stay at Hickory Mart. I have not stayed at a Holiday Inn property since I was a child. This location exceeded my expectations. This location is perfect ! It’s located next to Valley Hills Mall and there is so much within walking distance of the hotel. Lots of dining and shopping ! We were in town for a AAU basketball Tournament weekend Downtown. Our hotel was about 17 minutes from our tournament gym. We checked in Saturday evening and the front desk reception staff were terrific. I texted the front desk prior to arrival via the IHG app and Deirdra’s response was very prompt with assistance. Our room was on the 2nd Floor, so it was perfect. Quiet, Non-Smoking and fresh carpet. This hotel smelled amazing ! We settled down comfortably for a restful night’s sleep. I was really pleased with how quiet our floor was despite the property being located off a main highway. We went down to the dining area at 8 a.m. and the buffet was plentiful. The dining room staff are amazing. My daughter decided on pancakes, a cheese omelette and bacon. I had breakfast potatoes, bacon, pancakes, a western omelette and coffee. Everything was great. I took an Orange to go for a snack. There was hot/ cold cereal, yogurt, bagels, toast and cinnamon rolls as well. I highly recommend this hotel for your family’s stay in Hickory. I look forward to returning.
