  When we first arrived, there was no one at the front desk. The hotel felt almost like a ghost town, with only a few people around during our stay. The rooms were outdated but clean, and the beds were very uncomfortable. Overall, the property is in need of a significant renovation and some updates. There is definitely potential, but the hotel could use some attention to make the guest experience more welcoming and comfortable.

  This is an older hotel. I imagine it was very much an extremely nice hotel when it was first built They have kept the lobby extremely nice But dated in appearance. Front desk staff was nice. But I did not feel safe. I was given a room on the first floor with an exterior door opening directlyonto the parking lot. The only lighting available outside my room was actually in the parking lot. Security lighting along the covered sidewalk in front of my room was off. The mattress was extremely hard And uncomfortable. The room had a musty smell to it.

  Old facility- musty smell- Horrible traffic noise all night. Vagrant living right outside the door on the stairwell to outside. Smells of pot and smoke. Had to have my room key redone twice in 1 day. Continued issues could not leave fast enough...do not stay here.

  A unique property. The price is right. If you go into the stay knowing that the property is a little older, you won't be sorry staying there.

  Save yourself the frustration and anger — bypass this place. Between the internet speed and apathetic staff sending you on wild goose chases for directions, this hotel is riddled with issues. Getting faster speed at Motel 6 as I write this. Internet speed? I got two explanations. First: they reset the passcode to keep homeless people from using it. Yes, let's do everything possible to *not* help a vulnerable population. When I mentioned I'm a social worker, I got "oh so you know how they are." DC businesses actually go out of their way to help unhoused people — DC government gives out phones and replaces them if lost, because it reduces healthcare crises and crime. Funny how that works. Second explanation: "these new Mac computers have trouble connecting." Attention Crowne Plaza: despite being a large company, the problem is your internet provider, whose job is making sure the network connects to any device with the passcode — including the very complicated M-chip. The sun doesn't rise and set according to your WiFi. On the adult content block — I was told NC law prohibits it, full stop. It doesn't; NC law just requires age verification. So congrats, you went above and beyond. After two nights, your internet provider decided, unprompted, to start blocking content — a moral judgment call that isn't theirs to make. Unless it's a religious thing, in which case just say so and I'll pack up and go elsewhere. "No one's ever complained" isn't a defense — not many people complain about *this specific thing*, and you know it. If you're booking a convention and want glacial WiFi, this is your venue. **Warning:** don't leave a 6-carat ring on the counter along with your wallet and computer while you run to your room for a credit card, trusting them to hold it because apparently they don't trust *you* to come back and pay. They know exactly where you are, after all. We're still trying to track down where it went. When I asked about it, the answer was "no" before I'd even finished the question. Counters there are apparently very slippery.
