  I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience. I arrived at the hotel after traveling 4 hours from home to attend my daughter’s basketball tournament, only to be told that my reservation had been canceled because they “couldn’t reach me.” This makes absolutely no sense because my phone number was correctly listed on the reservation. I also sent a message directly to the hotel and received no helpful communication. When I arrived, I was then told the hotel was completely sold out, leaving my family stranded far from home with nowhere to stay. To make matters worse, the hotel claimed Hotels.com canceled my reservation, which was not true. I also tried calling the hotel multiple times throughout the day before arrival, but their phones were apparently down the entire time. So if their phones were not working, how exactly were they supposedly trying to call me? The lack of honesty, communication, accountability, and customer service was beyond frustrating. A confirmed reservation should mean something, especially for families traveling long distances for important events. Experiences like this do not encourage me to continue using Hotels.com for future bookings because customers should be able to trust that their reservations will actually be honored.

  I’ve never complained about a hotel, but this one is shady. We arrived at 8:30-9 pm the night before an I booked it with “late check out” and informed the man at the counter for the late check out. I was charged for it. The next morning house keeping is beating on the door and when I explained we paid for late check out she went to the front desk like I was lying. The front desk rang the phone off the hook and told us we needed to get out until I informed the we already planned and paid for the late check out. The beds were hard. The WiFi TV didn’t connect the internet. The night I checked in I bought a soda and a bag of chips and the guy said it was $5. The next morning I bought three sodas and it was $11? This place was the worst I’ve ever been!

  I went here to High Point market and this place was okay to stay! Paid extra $20 cash only early check in while they have the room available.

  Overall, this is a pretty good experience. The biggest thing I said earlier in a different review was that the rooms were updated and very modern and no carpet, which I think some people give bad reviews because carpets do get a little dirty and they stink. So if you eliminate carpet, you immediately improve the overall ambiance. My only downside was the breakfast was less than I expected. But if ever in the area again I would stay here because it was quiet and nice and tucked away from a lot of the hustle and bustle.

  Trash all over the road and parking lot. There was a guy smoking crack and talking to himself in front of our car. There were lots of homeless people cutting through the parking lot and digging in the trash and ashtrays. Room smelled like stale smoke. The entire hallway smelled like weed. The breakfast was horrible. The yogurt machine, waffle mix and orange juice were empty. The English muffins were rock hard. Apples were the only fruit. The staff was friendly though
