  The Holiday Inn Express in Goldsboro, NC was exactly what we needed. My associate and I are traveling comedians on a run from GA to Washington D.C. and stopped in for our show at The River Bar. The hotel was SPOTLESS. Everything smelled like PineSol and was glowing. The front desk staff was absolutely amazing and helped us with all our needs. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We stopped in, changed, went to the gig, came back and passed out almost immediately. In the morning I woke up and had a great complimentary breakfast with cinnamon rolls, biscuits and gravy, bacon, an omelet, and coffee. Then I worked all that off in the fitness center. A fabulous hotel close to everything you need in Goldsboro, NC, sharing a parking lot with a Chili's and Logans Roadhouse for good nearby eats. 10/10 will recommend to friends.

  I wish I could give 5 starts on everything but unfortunately I had a couple of hiccups. The first minor hiccup was a funny smell in our room that although Shyonte was kind enough to let us use a spray, towards the 3rd day I could smell it again. They also would never restock our towels correctly. We were always missing something (towels, trash bags, toilet paper). In general I loved our 6 day stay, even the room service hiccups can be overlooked with a good attitude but a certain employee just made it all bad, every time u looked at him, it was impossible to enjoy your stay. I had not read the reviews until now that I was about to write this and I’m glad I’m not the only one, yet it seems like the other mention was done a year ago and this employee still works there so I take it Managemrnt doesn’t care?? Miles was there at least 3 of our 5 nights and every single time we walked in, he was never graceful or attentive, or even a smile. Any question you ask him, simple as may be, he rolls his eyes, has an attitude, talks to you like you are annoying him, it was a complete disrespectful interaction, every single time. One time I asked him if there was a restroom in the lobby and along with his usual eye roll he just pointed to the left of him, couldn’t even “grace himself” to actually give directions and be actually helpful!! When I didn’t see the bathroom right away, he raised his voice and said “there’s a sign!” Which then I did see all the way at the end of the hall, but really how can management want someone like that in the front desk. The person who has that position should be someone very pleasant, or at least a smile, he would rarely look up when u walked in the door, and only looked up with that annoyed look on his face, when u approached the desk. I have mentioned only a couple of his very disrespectful and rude interactions, but i would like to mention 2 wonderful guest service agents!!! ❤️❤️ Shyonte and Arianna, always delightful, pleasant, and helpful. Wish I could have had them in the front desk the last nights we were there instead of leaving with the bitter taste of Miles. The breakfast they offer is a good variety and all very clean. I do hope management gets to read these comments and actually do something about it. As a travel agent, and real estate investor I travel for business a lot and I think I know what good customer service looks like, and Shyonte and Arianna are the perfect example of that!!!

  We stayed here for 4 nights. The whole hotel was clean, the rooms were spacious and clean as well. The breakfast was really good with plenty of options, the cinnamon rolls were the best part! From the moment we walked in to the moment we left the day and night staff were amazing, super helpful and friendly. If you needed anything they were on it right away. We needed towels and they were out so the lady at the front desk called our room to inform us that she was washing some towels for us and would have them up to us in a little bit. If I had to complain about anything it’d be that the pool was closed and housekeeping never took our trash. The overall experience was amazing and we will definitely be staying here the next time we’re in NC. 10/10 highly recommend.

  The guy at the front desk wasn't really into what he was doing he was kind of rude to me
