Wheelchair accessible room was adequate. Balcony was nice. We got see a little bit of the river, some geese and an occasional elk. When I called the hotel directly to book the hotel they did not mention they are renovating. Lots of building materials sitting around, but it did not hinder our stay. I can not comment on the noise level as we were out and about during the day. My issue, the only wheelchair access ramp to the breakfast/ common area is via a ramp in a parking spot. The ramp was blocked by a vehicle. You could not even go around the vehicle to get to the ramp. We notified the front desk and was informed that they would have to figure out who it was and ask them to move. The next morning the vehicle was moved and a orange cone was placed in the parking spot, allowing access to the ramp and breakfast area. However, the following morning, again, someone was in the parking spot blocking access to the ramp. The orange cone had been moved to sitting with the building materials. Again, notified the front desk, and again they will have to figure out who it is and ask them to move. This is unacceptable. There should NOT be a parking spot where the one and only ramp for access is located. We did not even bother trying to go up for breakfast the last morning of our visit as we figured the ramp would be blocked again. This inadequate accessibility hindered the ability to be independent and to get coffee/ breakfast at our leisure. Not to mention not being able to eat breakfast together with our other family members who were staying there, too. Also, there is no air conditioning in the office breakfast area. Not a big deal breaker, but certainly is not very comfortable in this 90+ degree heat. There are French doors in the breakfast area that open to a large outside deck. The tables on the inside block wheelchairs from accessing the deck and there are no tables or chairs on the deck. Most of the staff were pleasant and helpful. Some were sub-par, as in they assisted with issue at hand, but it was quite evident it was a bother for them to work.

This room smelled like cigarette smoke and was very dingy. The doors said no smoking on the outside of the rooms. If they want to be smoking friendly that's fine but don't say you're non-smoking and give rooms that smell like an ashtray. The sheets had a cigarette burn on them. There were a lot of cobwebs like it needed deep cleaning on the "balcony". It was going through renovations as of July 2026 and maybe future stays wouldn't be that bad but I didn't enjoy my stay. The room rate was on par with other hotels so I didn't even see a discount for what we stayed in. They also had no smoke detector in the first room and I had to ask for one. They moved us to a different room instead as a compromise. Most of the staff was friendly but it couldn't save from the fact that when I left the room I felt the need to scrub the experience off in the shower. The front office and breakfast area have been touched up and looked better than the room itself. The view of the river was pretty as well.

My wife and I stayed here from July 25th to July 27th, 2026. There were a few positive aspects to our stay: the front desk allowed us to check in an hour early at 2:00 PM, and the view from our balcony was beautiful and peaceful, offering great sightings of local deer and geese. The complimentary breakfast is also decent if you are on a budget and just need basic continental options like waffles, fruit, bagels, and cereal, though you should look elsewhere if you are hoping for hot options like eggs and bacon. Unfortunately, the website's claims of "recently renovated" rooms were very misleading. Our room clearly had not been updated yet, and there were active construction materials piled right outside our door with the lobby still mid-renovation. Inside, the layout was incredibly awkward; the TV armoire was set far off to the left of the bed—making it almost unwatchable from the right side—and only about 15 of the 49 cable channels actually worked, with no streaming capabilities. The wall near the open hanging rack had visible scuffs and marks, and the balcony was furnished with mismatched, worn-out seating (one plastic chair and an old wooden chair). The biggest disappointment was the service. On our first night, my wife woke up with her foot caught in a hole in the comforter, and we later noticed a second hole in the blanket. We requested a replacement at the front desk after breakfast and even reminded the housekeeper directly before leaving for the afternoon. When we returned after dinner, housekeeping had simply made the bed using the exact same torn comforter, forcing us to go back down to the front desk late at night to finally get intact bedding. While the river setting is nice, the misleading room descriptions and lack of attention from staff made for a frustrating stay. (Photos attached showing the off-center room layout, wall marks, damaged comforter, and balcony view).

I was very skeptical after reading all of these comments. However, I just stayed there this weekend and I must say none of these comments were true. These are also all being renovated. We stayed in a king room. I did not see any bugs, it was clean, and they did look exactly as the pictures did online. We will be back. Also, the river in the back was so beautiful 😍

🏞️ The River Balcony Makes the Whole Stay (4/5 Stars) The Big Highlights The balcony is the absolute crown jewel of the property. Sitting outside, watching the ducks frolic in the river, and taking in the mountain scenery is elite for mental decompression. Without the balcony, this is an average property; with it, the place has immense value. Peak Season Value I scored a weeknight stay in July for just $216 total for three nights. Note that this is a great weekday deal, as peak autumn season rates will run much higher. Crucial Amenities: The A/C blows ice cold (which is never a guarantee in this region). The bed is comfortable—not luxury grade, but solid for a good night's sleep. Parking, pool access, and the central location are all top-tier. The Not-So-Great Aspects Bathroom Dimensions: This might be the smallest bathroom in the history of mankind. It is so narrow that you can touch the far shower wall and the hallway door at the same time. Construction Noise They are currently doing some on-site renovations. Fortunately, it only causes short bursts of noise for a few minutes before shutting up for hours. The Verdict The minor negatives are completely outweighed by the peaceful river access. If you need a straightforward, budget-friendly place to unwind and clear your head by the water, this is a highly recommended spot.
