  This has to be the worst holiday and I’ve ever stayed at. In every possible way down to the paper thin walls. You can hear somebody fart next-door. Management does not get a shhtt about anything. You can do better sleeping on the park bench.

  ⭐️⭐️ Disappointing Experience, but Thomas at the Front Desk Was Wonderful Our stay at the Holiday Inn in Cherokee, North Carolina, was unfortunately overshadowed by a very unpleasant experience. At around 3:00 AM, a woman named Laura knocked on our door and woke us up to berate us about noise complaints. We were extremely frustrated by this, especially because the room next to us was incredibly loud, and it seemed we were being blamed for noise that was not coming from us. Being woken up in the middle of the night and spoken to in that manner was completely unacceptable and made what should have been a relaxing stay incredibly stressful. I understand that hotels have to address noise complaints, but there is a professional and respectful way to handle these situations, and this was not it. However, I do want to give credit where it is deserved. Thomas at the front desk was absolutely wonderful! He was incredibly sweet, helpful, and professional. He made us feel heard and treated us with kindness, which was greatly appreciated after such a frustrating experience. His friendly attitude and willingness to help demonstrated what good customer service should look like. Thomas was genuinely a bright spot during our stay, and employees like him make a real difference in how guests feel about a hotel. It is unfortunate that one employee’s behavior can leave such a negative impression, especially when another employee goes out of his way to be so kind and accommodating. I hope management recognizes Thomas for the excellent service he provides and addresses the way noise complaints are handled in the future. Thomas deserves recognition for his outstanding customer service, but our experience with Laura at 3:00 AM was unacceptable. I hope future guests are treated with more courtesy and professionalism.

  This location was awesome. You are in walking distance of Harrahs casino. The rooms were clean. The service was also awesome and they were helpful with directions of places you may want to go.

  I booked a trip for my 25 year old daughter and her boyfriend. They were so excited because they work a lot and needed a getaway. Well Laura made sure to ruin that! Laura acccused my daughter and her boyfriend of being too loud and it wasn’t even them! They even explained this to her. They told her it was coming from the room beside them which Laura acknowledged she knew about!! Well my daughter thought that was the end of it and after she checks out and leaves I see a 200 dollar charge for noise violation!! They were never even informed of the charge at checkout! They are being treated like they were Motley Crue in a hotel and they weren’t even being loud. I’m a big platinum elite member and stayed n many many hotels and never an issue. Laura is bullying my young daughter with no proof! How can you put a 200 charge on our card with no proof and not even telling them at checkout?!? This is terrible and Laura should be reprimanded for this. The I’ve escalated this to corporate as well as the credit card company. I don’t tolerate bullies.

  As an IHG reward member we used points to spend a night to enjoy the casino across the street. I feel like since we used points they gave us the worst room possible. Room 134 is right beside the freight elevator and directly across from where the housekeeping gets started in the morning. The noise starts at 5:30 with the freight elevator and then the housekeeping sounded like it was a party outside our room. When I told the man at he front desk he just said yeah it's a bit loud right there." If this is how point redemption works then maybe it's time to switch to Hilton or find a new hotel if I go up there again.
