  Family trip through the Smoky Mountains and visited Cherokee, NC. The staff at this location is welcoming and very pleasant. The hotel was going through renovations throughout our stay but workers were quite and no loud noises were heard. The breakfast station was attended by Marcy and she is on top of everything. Marcy greeted us when we walked in for breakfast and made sure everything was hot and ready for the guests. She even came by to ask how our morning was going and picked up our plates. That's the service we need now a days! Great stay.

  At first the room seemed clean but upon a closer look there was hair and dust behind the bathroom door. Not just one hair, lots of hairs, it looked like it hadn't been clean for a ehile. I cleaned it up because it was making me grossed out looking at it. When I looked under the bed to check for things we might have forgot, I found a kids toy and the cap for a spray bottle that were not ours. The corners of the elevator had dust and dirt piled up. They were doing construction so I understand some debris but this looked like it had been there for years. The door to our room didn't close all the way on its own so we had to manally pull it closed everytime. Our room was completely out of lotion and hand wash so we called and asked for more, the lady said to give her a minute and she would be up. Ok, no problem, we made sure the do not disturb was off the door and headed to the pool. When we get back the lotion and hand soap were still empty. Ok fine, we'll use the body wash for our hands. At 10:30pm when my kids are already asleep and I'm almost asleep we get a call asking if we still wanted them refilled. I explained that it was too late and we thought someone would have come earlier. She said she did but no one answered the door. I told her we were at the pool and she said she never goes into rooms without someone there. What hotel does that? When we came down for breakfast two front desk ladies were chatting, one looks me up and down, I smile at her and she after about 30 seconds she said good morning. It was really awkward. I would not stay here again.

  Stayed here on our way into the Smokey Mountains. Wonderful hotel. They were doing a remodel but I think our room was brand new. We had a suite as there is 5 in our family. Good hotel breakfast. Would stay again.

  Rooms are newly renovated, clean. Beds were extremely comfortable. Check in/out was great. Very close to "Unto these Hills" outdoor drama. Check out Wize Guys Grille nearby, excellent food!

  This is a good place to stay on the south side of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, if you want to avoid the commercialism of the northside. It was undergoing rennovations when we were there, and it is across the street from the Casino, but that is pretty easy to ignore if you are going to the park each day (which we were).
