  Our accessible room was a little worn but had all the necessary amenities. Good hot breakfast. HEATED indoor pool and hot tub a big bonus. Nice interior courtyard.

  My stay at Staybridge Suites Charlotte Ballantyne was a great experience overall. The area is very quiet but still has plenty to do nearby, which made it perfect for relaxing without feeling bored. The hotel offers nice amenities like a pool, spa, and gym, and a standout perk is the complimentary alcoholic beverages with appetizers Monday through Wednesday, which is a great touch if you’re unwinding after work or just need a little getaway. Kavell provided excellent customer service, making sure I was informed about everything the hotel had to offer and answering any questions with ease. Check-in was smooth and quick, so getting to my room was hassle-free. While the layout of the hotel can feel a bit easy to get lost in at first, there are always staff members around ready to help guide you, which made it much easier to navigate.

  During my last business trip to Charlotte, SC I stayed for four nights at Staybridge Suites Charlotte Ballantyne by IHG. My room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Partially, the hotel has grown a little bit in the tooth, the pool smell strongly of chlorine and the gym was not that well equipped. Also the breakfast was only mediocre. Overall, I had a good stay and the hotel was appropriate for my business trip.

  CONS: --The walls/floors/ceilings are paper thin. You can hear a normal conversation 5 doors down without a problem. We had 2 rooms adjacent from each other and I kept asking them to keep it down in fear we would get in trouble. --Our room smelled like a cigarette, which is a wild sentence to write in 2026, but just being honest. --The pool kept the kids busy for about 15min but the echo from everyone just playing was unbearable. They need sound tiles or something to help with the sound. --The front text sends mass texts to all guests. I got 3, so I called the front desk and they confirmed they do that to everyone. I bet they do it because they are conscious about the intrusive sounds that travel throughout the building. --The sofa bed (like every sofa bed in the world) is pretty rough. Those are meant for kids under 75lbs. PROS: --Breakfast is good. Staff is on top of keeping it clean and organized even with the large Sunday crowd. --Price is in line for what you get, compared to other hotels in the area. It was maybe a little inflated due to 2 concerts in Charlotte the same weekend. --Nice area. Generally feels safe to walk around for a quick bite to eat (though options are limited but a VERY short drive to other options). --Suites are priced great for families. You get the extra space without the extra cost of an additional room. Summary: --I probably wouldn't stay here again, unless I got a VERY good deal. Biggest turn off is the sound. If you are light sleeper, pay extra money and stay somewhere else.

  Stayed here while on a work trip with my husband. Room was nice and comfy, however we didn't like how the bathroom was so tiny/arranged. Breakfast was nicer than many places. I liked how they had the yogurt bar with fruit options. We would stay here again.
