    Stayed at Holiday Inn Express and Suites Charlotte Southwest from April 21 to April 22 2026 and this was easily one of the most unprofessional hotel experiences I have ever had. The only reason this is not a complete zero is because the night shift employee who checked me in handled her job with professionalism and respect. Everything after that went downhill fast. As someone who works night shift I was asleep during the day like any paying guest should be able to do without interruption. Instead I was disturbed by a day shift employee questioning me about checking out while openly blaming the night auditor for not doing her job. That level of unprofessional behavior should never be directed at a guest. Then it crossed the line completely. An employee walked straight into my room unannounced woke me up and addressed me by my last name. That is not just disrespectful it is a serious violation of privacy and safety. As a law enforcement officer I take that very seriously and there is absolutely no excuse for it. When I addressed this with staff there was no accountability only finger pointing and excuses. That tells me this location has serious internal issues and a lack of leadership. I spoke with the manager Carmen who promised me 3000 IHG reward points to make things right. Here we are in May and I have received nothing. No follow through no accountability just empty words. This hotel failed in the most basic areas of hospitality including guest privacy professionalism and communication. Waking a guest by entering their room without permission is unacceptable under any circumstance. Do better because this experience was unacceptable from start to finish.

    The room was incredibly small and we had an extensive amount of stinkbugs in our room. When we asked to move there were no more rooms available. The customer service was great though.

    As a traveler that has worked out of state for over 9 years its 1 of the best hotels around Charlotte airport. My travel plans had changed twice within 3 to 4 hours, Ana which is the Chief of First Impressions or Guest Relations Envoy in my experience. She facilitated and an executed with Swift smoothness. Ana's professionalism and overall Candor will be the reason I return. My company is a local that works all over the Eastern United States. I will be telling all my co-workers over 40 people this is where we need to stay.

    Traveling as a Personal Chef, I have to say I had a great stay. Breakfast is an upgrade from past hotel experiences. I cant say everyday would be this way. But the staff was nice, food was very decent!!! And I slept very well. Being grateful to have these amenities. Should cut out some of the complaining people do, thank you to the staff.
