  The worst holiday inn I've been to. Im usually very happy with this chain of hotels. The bed was comfy, the room was spacecious, but definitely not the cleanest. There was a lot of dirt and something that looked like critter feces behind the nightstand, the fridge was leaking and was not cooling much, mold in the freezer and the fridge door would not close properly unless forced. The curtains were assembled incorrectly not allowing for privacy curtains to be pulled without the black out curtains following. There was mold in the bathtub and the bottle marked conditioner was soap. I hope my hair will be ok. The cover to the peep hole for the front door was incredibly bent out of place. There are NO amenities. The pool was closed even though online it is listed. We also had no access to the gym. The amenities were a big reason we chose to stay here. When asked we were given some reason about sand getting into the pool, but when walking the property we discovered a window to the pool left uncovered. There was BLACK MOLD covering entire walls of the pool room. Overall cleanliness was questionable at best. The elevator floor was incredibly sticky during half of our stay. The buffet did not get replenished as often as other places. Everything seemed empty yesterday when trying to get breakfast. We ended up waiting for them to bring out food which took about 10-15 min. It blows my mind how this place is allowed to stay open with all that black mold. I have a mold allergy but also scary when thinking about all the other issues it can cause being exposed to it. Also, I saw a roach on the way out of this hotel.

  Room seemed to be clean, but there was an odd odor noticed. Not bad enough to complain to the management, but not a very fresh scent either.

  5 stars all day. Room was as nice as can be. Extremely comfortable beds, shower pressure and hot water are better than your house! and breakfast was great. I’ve traveled more than most people because of my job - this is as good as you can ask for. Also the staff (including the shuttle guy)are nice and helped me with my flight.

  I had a very pleasant stay at the Holiday Inn Express near Charlotte Airport. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and offered all the amenities you would expect for a convenient airport stay. The airport shuttle service was reliable and made traveling to and from the airport completely hassle-free. One of the highlights was the complimentary breakfast. The selection was generous, well-stocked, and a great way to start the day. It offered much more variety than many hotels in the same price range, which added significant value to the stay. The rooms were comfortable, the staff was friendly, and the overall experience was smooth and enjoyable. The hotel provides excellent value, especially considering the quality of its amenities and convenient location. The only downside was the paid parking. Given that many comparable airport hotels offer complimentary parking, the additional parking charge felt unnecessary and was a bit of a disappointment. While it wouldn't prevent me from staying again, it is definitely something guests should be aware of when considering the overall cost. Overall, a very good hotel with excellent amenities, a great breakfast, and convenient airport access. If the parking were included, it would be an easy five-star experience.

  Because of continued delays at the airport, I had spent 16 hours flying from Boston to Charlotte. Finally landed in Charlotte a little before midnight and knew I was too exhausted to drive the 2 1/2 hours to my final destination. So I booked a hotel room online. When I got to the hotel, I was told that their website was accepting reservations, even though they were fully booked. I checked my email and saw that the reservation had been canceled 10 minutes prior. I could tell the front desk attendant, Demetria, felt really bad, but there was only so much she could do. She said the last gentleman that came in before me was so exhausted that he was almost in tears. She did eventually figure out a way to get me a room for the night. But even if she hadn’t been able to, the fact that she genuinely cared, was very kind, and I could tell she was trying her hardest to figure out a solution, made a big difference. The room was clean and quiet. Breakfast in the morning was pretty good with a number of options. And the sales manager was in the breakfast area greeting and chatting with customers. I didn’t get her name, but she was very friendly and personable. While, it would be great if Holiday Inn’s website didn’t allow you to reserve rooms that aren’t actually available, the staff at the hotel was really exceptional!
