Had a wonderful stay at the Flatiron - what a beautiful hotel! The location is perfect and is centrally located in downtown Asheville, so you're just a short walk away from so many shops, entertainment and food. The beds are super comfortable and the style of the hotel is impeccable. Absolutely will be back!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay for birthday and wedding anniversary combined. The Flat Iron has a great vibe. Service was excellent (valet, front desk). The room was on the small side (cozy) BUT that is also some of the charm. It is a converted 1926 office building so it has some quirks. Each floor has a beverage center (rather than coffee maker in the room). Everything is quality materials - the shower was GREAT. Location was perfect for visiting the Luminosa restaurant adjacent on the ground floor. Rooftop cafe was quaint. We did not make it to the speakeasy in the basement - we want to go back and check it out.

From the moment I walked in, I was treated as if I’d been coming here for years. Extremely impressed with the personal service throughout my stay. Room are very well appointed, a little small, but for one person very comfortable. Beds are plush and very comfortable. Awesome shower! Will definitely stay here from now on when visiting Ashville. Fantastic location downtown. Great rooftop lounge area to have coffee or evening cocktails. Side note…the Luminosa restaurant is absolutely outstanding in every way! Make reservations when you book the room!

The location is ideal. Plenty of things to see and do within about a six block radius. Plenty of good places to eat, drink and shop easily in walking distance. The hotel atmosphere is great and cleanliness is nothing short of impressive. The staff is friendly, professional and just did an outstanding job. The room was a bit quirky, but that's kinda the point of staying in a 100 year old, art deco flat Iron shaped building isn't it? We absolutely loved it! The bed was very comfortable. You are downtown in the heart of the city, so the noise level varies from background hum to the occasional street musician or police and fire department sirens. Compared to many cities we've seen Asheville is pretty quiet. Also we didn't see any children staying at the Flat Iron so it was a more quiet and pleasant stay than expected.Amenities wise we never wanted for anything. Everything has been anticipated and is readily available. However, there isn't around the clock room service but most places nearby deliver. There is also no pool, but we aren't hotel pool people anyway. Our only real complaint is there wasn't enough storage for both of us to unpack our bags (one each+ one laptop backpack each) for a week long stay. Also the bathroom needs more flat surfaces or shelves. My wife travels a lot and carries little makeup, but what she brought left little room for anything else. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back, just better prepared. On a side note the hotel restaurant was a fabulous experience so don't miss it!

The Flat Iron Hotel was a fantastic experience from start to finish and will absolutely be my go-to hotel in Asheville moving forward. The hotel itself is beautiful—an old historic building that has been thoughtfully restored without losing its character. My room wasn’t enormous, but it was charming, comfortable, and plenty spacious, with an incredibly luxurious bed and beautiful views. The staff were exceptional: genuinely friendly, approachable, and helpful without ever feeling pretentious. Valet parking was easy and convenient, and the entire hotel had a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. The food and drink options really set the Flat Iron apart. The restaurant was the best dinner I had in Asheville and is Michelin-recommended. Downstairs, there’s a fantastic speakeasy, while upstairs you’ll find a beautiful rooftop bar and café with incredible views of Asheville and the surrounding mountains. Best of all, for the quality of the rooms, service, amenities, and location, I thought the hotel was very reasonably priced. Charming, luxurious, friendly, and full of personality. I’ll definitely be staying here again.
