While this hotel is in a great downtown location, and has loads of charm, there are many gaps in what I come to expect of a 4-5 star hotel. No refrigerator. No microwave. No in room coffee/tea. Smallish rooms, funky angles. Some of the concierge service was outstanding. Some front desk personnel were short and curt, especially with our grandchild. Valet gentlemen were kind and helpful. Initially we were told we could arrange a late checkout and then they called us to say they couldn't. This precluded our sons from showering after their 100 mile bike race; they had to drive/fly home unshowered. Just didn't meet Bonvoy standards.

Every second of our stay, from checking in, to checking out was a delight! Every member of staff was kind, warm and welcoming. Especially the lady at the front desk( I can’t remember her name, but she had a beautiful accent, which I believe was Russian?) She was so lovely and truly made us feel welcomed. We also had dinner at Luminosa, which was incredible! Do yourself a favor and make reservations for dinner!!!
We can not recommend The Flat Iron Hotel more, we will be back!!!!

My wife and I have stayed at the Flat Iron Hotel twice and we can't wait to be back. If you want an upscale hotel full of character, comfort and that consistently demonstrates top-notch hospitality (all in the details), the Flat Iron Hotel is the place! And the location is 100% convenient: in the heart of Asheville. I think of that hotel as an attraction itself.

Business trip for me, mini vacation for mom. Great staff, hotel located in downtown great like vibes area. The in hotel dining was excellent, however If I ever pay $19 for 3 sprigs of broccolini again shoot me. That was my only complaint. The wine, atmosphere and main entrees were all Amazing. 👍🏼🤙🏼💯
My friends and I recently stayed at The Flat Iron Hotel for a girls' weekend in celebration of my friend's daughter's 21st birthday. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by Angela and Anyaa, with big smiles and a glass of Prosecco. We ventured out to lunch (restaurants and shops are within walking distance as hotel is in the heart of Asheville). Upon our return, we were surprised to find that the staff had left several token gifts in our rooms.
Rooms were beautiful and spotless, beds comfortable. Rooftop bar was great, speakeasy was fun, and restaurant (Luminosa), was outstanding (separate review as there was so much to rave about). The guest service team went above and beyond to make our stay one to remember. Will definitely return!
