- MEMelanie EAug 9, 20262.0The hotel itself is adequate. Rooms are clean and location is okay. The low review is because I was double charged twice. I booked through booking.com and paid when I booked the room. Upon checking in, they initially couldn’t find the reservation, and then a hold was placed on my account for the amount of the room. I talked to the manager and this was resolved, but it took 48 hours before the charge was removed from my card. When I got home, I checked my account and another hold for $485 was placed on my account. I called the IHG customer service number and am waiting on a call back for the manager, but this will be another 48 hrs or more with a large hold on my bank account. I’ve been pretty loyal to IHG for years, but I’ll think twice next time.

There’s a beautiful stone fireplace and indoor pool that you wouldn’t even know was there. Also, there’s a pretty, covered side patio that I love eating breakfast on. Don’t forget your key for reentry! There are plants everywhere and the decor is elegant and sophisticated. The pools, indoor and outdoor, are immaculate. Breakfast buffet is made from scratch every morning with real ingredients. The restaurant is beautiful too. It offers a full bar and amazing food made by chefs! I like that it’s far enough from downtown that traffic isn’t as bad and it’s still close to everything. Every front desk team member, server, bartender and staff I’ve met here are lovely, compassionate individuals and happy to help. Pro tip: When leaving make sure to follow the back entrance out instead of trying to cross traffic on Smokey Park Highway.
