Motel style lodging with exterior facing rooms. No elevator. Good hot shower. Four separate buildings.

The young man with the long black hair who checked us in 6/6 provided some of the best customer service I’ve ever seen. The patience he exhibited while dealing with a couple ladies holding up the check in line was outstanding, even answering “where does the name Asheville come from” without absolutely losing it like I would have. The room was OK. Air conditioner kinda sucked. Good location.

We always stay here when husband has appointment at the VA hospital a couple miles away. So far never had a complaint . The lady at the desk today was awesome and let us check in early. Clean rooms courteous staff and pretty darn good breakfast . For the price , can’t be beat.

We booked a room for 2 nights and had a horrible experience. Have a disability and require a service animal. We were barred access to breakfast, and treated like shit in front of a bunch of other patrons. We tried to stay polite and educate them on the correct laws under the ADA, which they refused to research themselves. Was humiliated, and embarrassed, and discriminated against. They were told that my animal was a service animal, and they did everything they are not supposed to do. Asked for documentation, repeatedly stated that dogs aren't allowed in the food area even though it was explained to them that a service animal is different from a pet. They also refused to check the information themselves or call their manager. It was supposed to be handled but the very next day the same person started problems again, so called customer service who knew the laws and told the receptionist who refused to tell the rest of the staff. So the next morning the same problems happened. Was treated like crap because of the disability, and then when customer service called them back again, they continued to be rude and begrudgingly allowed us access to breakfast. Was victimized and made to feel like we didn't deserve to be treated like every one else because we were disabled and not worthy of respect or to be in the same vicinity of them. Would definitely not recommend this hotel or even this town. You would have thought when a group of people saw people picking on a disabled person and bullying them that at least one person in the group would be decent enough to stand up for the kid, but no a bunch of the patrons joined in in the ill treatment, name calling, and harrassment. They didn't care about the American with Disabilities Act or want to look it up for themselves because they hate and discriminate against people with disabilities. They kept lying and saying the misconceptions everyone has about service animals but refused to look it up or look at anything that had to do with the rules concerning animals. Am a Disabled American Citizen and was discriminated against and victimized by the staff and the patrons of this establishment. Requested a refund for the two days because the interactions ruined my stay but was told would have to call customer service, which took my complaint but was told they would have to get back to me. Upon checkout, still have not talked to the manager. This is a legitimate violation of the ADA law, and they are acting like they don't give a crap because nobody is going to do anything about it. On this day am ashamed to be an American. It is against the law to misrepresent your animal as a service animal and am well aware of this, so they would have called the cops on us if they really thought that my animal wasnt a service animal.
