  Needed to stay in Shelby and this best Western was very nice. Staff was really nice to me and helped me find a good place to eat. Everything I needed for a nights stay

  I do not often leave hotel reviews but I was so impressed with how handicap friendly this facility was that I am compelled to give them a great review. We asked for an ADA room (none available) and were placed in what they called a handicapped room. Sis was longing for a shower but tubs are hard with her mobility issues. The front desk person, Jackson, offered to bring a shower chair to the room for us. Yes, please! The grab bars in the shower and bathroom were amazing. In addition, the swimming pool and hot tub have chair assists for getting in and out. The elevator worked well and they had a luggage cart that was able to accommodate all our supplies and luggage in one trip. The breakfast buffet was stellar with a yogurt bar, scrambled eggs, waffle maker, biscuits and gravy and much more. Coffee was excellent. We have been on a road trip for a week and this is by far the best place we have stayed.

  No joking—5 stars across the board. Go out of your way to say here. I am handicapped so a spacious room with a good bed is important and rare—this hotel provided both. Most comfortable mattress ever—and we travel a lot. Then the breakfast—free and varied and quality! Also a rare find. One down note that will not affect my rating—we booked a handicap accessible room months in advance. However, when we arrived we were given a “communications” accessible room (no idea what that means) but it came with a tub (unusable by me). I require a walk-in shower with a chair. The general manager did suggest we could go elsewhere, because they were booked solid—without penalty—but we decided to stay. She gave us a discount to compensate. Glad we stayed—I had such a good sleep that I can happily forego a shower for a sponge bath. (And we loved the wide window in our room providing a great prairie skies.) Overall—great staff, friendly and attentive. Be sure to tip the breakfast room attendant—she is a lovely gal. PS Wifi is fast and strong.

  Spacious and very clean room. The breakfast had a great variety of options, and everything was well organized. We really enjoyed our stay.

  Our stay here was excellent. The staff were super kind and helpful. The breakfast in the morning was great. There were a lot of different choices for everyone from yogurt with toppings, to biscuits and gravy. The rooms were clean and very comfortable and this was also a quiet stay. The hot tub was not in working order when we were here, but the pool worked just fine. Would definitely recommend. After a long drive, all of this was so welcomed and appreciated.
