  I had already given this hotel an excellent review on TripAdvisor immediately after our stay. A few days later, however, a billing issue came up with Capital One Travel. I contacted the hotel’s manager, Mark, who took what was a somewhat complicated issue and got it sorted out quickly and professionally. Mark went above and beyond with his professionalism and genuine customer care. All hotels should follow Mark’s lead when it comes to customer service. Thank you, Mark, for taking the time to help and for making an already great experience even better!

  I canceled a reservation from my end in time, IHG or the hotel had some glitch or intentional laziness on their end and didn’t register the cancellation but removed the reservation from my app. Now their representatives won’t respond to my emails and tell me over text that it was never cancelled at the hotel’s end so I won’t get a refund, or even points for the stay that they charged me for. Not a good experience, seems safer to stick with reliable brands like Marriott or Hilton in the future.

  Great location, 30 minute walk from the airport. Has an airport shuttle service. The cleanliness and decoration were both ok, not old at all. The shower was comfortable. The beds were comfortable. The AC worked. The AC makes a huge noise that disturbed our sleep. The window glass didn't really muffle the traffic noise from I-90 (especially from trucks). The cold water from tap didn't seem to be directly potable (probably because the pipe was heated and there were thus bubbles and seemingly trace of water processing agent just like in the hot tap water at home), but there was no kettle provided to boil water. But all these could be forgiven. What could not be forgiven was the shuttle service in the morning. At check-in, we asked for shuttle service for 7am on the next morning (our flight was at 8:30am). The front desk staffer did note it down in their guest shuttle request register. However, the next morning, when we showed up on time at 7am, the shuttle was parked in front of the hotel with no one in it. The front desk guy (a different person from the staffer on the previous day) told us he didn't know where the shuttle driver was and asked us to wait "and she will be with you shortly". The front desk guy couldn't find another key of the shuttle nor did he know the shuttle driver's phone number. The shuttle driver didn't show up until 15 minutes later after the front desk guy asked the Hampton hotel next to it to call her (funny and unimaginable that the EVEN Hotel front desk doesn't have a spare key of the EVEN Hotel shuttle or even the phone number of the EVEN Hotel shuttle driver). She was constantly smiling but never truly apologetic, and she told us that the staffer from the previous day wrote down the wrong date for our shuttle (which, of course, we could not verify). The front desk guy was really apologetic though and put in a lot of effort in finding the shuttle driver as we constantly gave him pressure. In the end, we made it to our flight right in time (boarding started when we were at the security). Would not recommend this hotel if shuttle service is needed.

  Stayed at this hotel the last three days of a ten day vacation and loved it! The staff were wonderful and friendly, one a Texas Aggie like myself! The room was fantastic, beds were fantastic, and for the first time I can recall ever, the pillows were solid and firm enough to actually be comfortable. Would highly recommend the Even hotel 10/10!
