  Breakfast bar unattended and no coffee. Little to choose from. Ate at Hardee’s down the road. Bathroom clean. Bed very firm. Room dusty.

  Room was absolutely filthy. Bath mat turned black when moving it around the floor near the shower. Staff were nice but I wish I'd spent $20 for any other hotel.

  The place has been remodeled and is nice for a old hotel. Beds are very firm. Breakfast was mediocre, but better than some places. I would stay here again if I was in the area.

  One of the worst hotel experiences we have ever had. The first room we were shown gave us headaches because of how bad it smelled like smoke (this was a non-smoking room). We told them, and they moved us to a different room. We stayed there, wake up the next morning, and my husband is going through a severe reaction that he only has to black mold. I investigate and find black mold in each corner of the bathroom. This is not the most uncommon experiences at value hotels, however, before staying here, we informed the hotel that we have a severe allergy to black mold and to make sure the room didn't not have any. We asked to be moved rooms so we could extend our stay as we needed to, and they could not provide that. We told Best Western corporate and the hotel, and not only did one refunded us, but the staff of the SureStay Meridian lied to corporate telling them there was no black mold- when I showed them the black mold. My husband is still recovering from the mold exposure there due to the negligence of this hotel. We are sincerely disappointed in the SureStay and in the response of Best Western as a whole as we are rewards members who seek out Best Westerns... The black mold photos attached. We strongly recommend to not stay at the SureStay Meridian. EDIT- RESPONSE TO HOTEL'S RESPONSE: To the two different people that saw the photos of mold from my phone- you know who you are and you know you are lying. Truly sad and reprehensible behavior. Your reaction and lies to this complaint are even worse than the horrible stay at this hotel. In the end, the truth will always live out lies one way or another.
