  The young lady at the front desk Joyce was very sweet she greeted us when we walked in with a big smile on her face she was very helpful got us in room right away I really enjoyed her service and my stay

  Spent 7 mins waiting to see if a room was available, to get transferred. While my brother in the car called and setup a reservation with Hilton Garden Inn. Holiday Inn might want to tighten up, you lost out on a room due to not having a ready available list of room available for the night.

  I stayed here a month or so ago. Excellent property! The property is fairly new and was very clean. The guy at the front desk was very friendly. The room itself was excellent. I had a room with a huge window in the corner that overlooked the outside. I would definitely recommend. Price wasn’t bad either. Only thing I didn’t like was that the restaurant staff ignored me when I was about to order something. I went downstairs and the lady proceeded to put the chairs up without asking me if I needed anything. I’d recommend this property.

  My trip to Holiday Inn Meridian East was horrible. The air conditioning was not working correctly upon my arrival. I called the front desk, and a maintenance man came to my room to attempt to fix it. This did not help the situation. I informed the young lady at the front desk that the maintenance man could have access to my room to clean the air conditioner while I was out. Upon returning late Friday night, the air still didn't work, and there were no other available rooms. Saturday morning, I again contacted the front desk about the air. The young lady sent a different maintenance man, who was also unable to get the air conditioner to work. This time, he said he would inform the front desk they would have to discount my stay because there were no other rooms to move me to, and they couldn't fix the air. When I went to the front desk this time, the young lady informed me that he never told her and I would have to speak to the supervisor later. Saturday evening, I spoke to a gentleman at the front desk who informed me that the supervisor wouldn't be there until Sunday around 9:00. Sunday morning, I went to the front desk and spoke to the supervisor on duty about the air conditioning. She informed me that the general manager, Lewis Formby, would be there soon. I ended up checking out around 11, and he had not arrived, so the supervisor told me to call up there later to speak with Mr. Formby. I called the hotel around 1:30PM. I was put on hold, and then the supervisor got back on the phone saying she could not find the general manager but would have him return my call because she remembered speaking to me before I left. I still have not received a call back. I'm very disappointed with my stay considering the temperature ranged from the low to mid 90s with maximum heat index values climbing to between 100°F and 106°F without a working air conditioner, and I wasn't even offered a fan to use from Friday afternoon through Sunday morning. I am also an IHG One Rewards member and this trip makes me question if I will want to stay at another one of their hotels.
