  Small but clean and efficient rooms. Close to the interstate but the traffic sounds were minimal.

  After a long 12-hour day of road tripping on our way to 30A, we were SO excited to find this Hattiesburg Avid as it is in a very nice area and we had no hesitancy checking in at this location at 1:30 in the morning! My husband & I stay in a lot of Avid Hotels,,,but THIS Avid is nicer than any others we've stayed in before. First off, it has FULL sized luggage carts versus the standard very small, oddly shaped triangle cart typical of most Avid's! Secondly, the bathroom amenities were a nice, added touch: extra bath linens, "flowered tissue display," etc. were appreciated. Lastly, the female staff at check-in was extremely kind and efficient! We were grateful for a wonderful night's sleep in your amazing beds and comfy linens and pillows, just what we needed to resume our drive! Thank you!

  The room was clean and the bed was comfy! Ther service was not helpful at all! The location did not have many good places to eat .

  Room was fine but the walls are paper thin. Heard the person upstairs stomping around all night and everything the people in the next room were saying and their tv.

  I couldn't decide whether to leave a 3 or 4 star. There is no covered parking where you could unload your car in the rain. The hotel is adequate, clean, comfortable. It's just that the room seemed small and had some drawbacks. The room was clean and beds comfortable. Only just adequate space in the room. The space at ends of beds seems narrow. No closet; Only hooks on the wall. I was glad I brought a pillow, because the pillows seemed fluffy, but squashed flat. There is a narrow bench with open storage and my computer bag, stuck out in the walkway stored there. There is no furniture with drawers to hold clothes so this would just be a hotel for an overnight stay. Our room seemed cluttered with luggage for 3. There was one wall mounted "table" between beds and not enough charging ports. The refrigerator is VERY small with no freezer so you can't unload a cooler there, but it was clean. The blind on the window did let in some light. No coffee maker but you can get fresh coffee in the lobby. I can't remember if it had a microwave. It had an ironing board. There was one chair, a desk chair. The door seemed to latch when it closed, but when I pushed on it, it clicked like it had not latched properly. This happened multiple times so I made sure it clicked shut for security. The iron was stored in a luggage type zipper bag and on an open shelf. There was a hair dryer. Good things about breakfast were: great coffee and they had non-dairy milk, and fruit. The hot breakfast was ok. The desk clerk was pleasant. I would stay here again if other hotels were unavailable, but I prefer more charging ports and a slightly larger room with a closet, a larger mini fridge, another chair in the room.
