While they were in the middle of a remodel... the maintenance and cleanliness were definitely lacking.

This review was a little difficult to do. The staff was amazing but like everyone said the room smelled like mold well at least mine did. I say this because my husband and son had a room and it smelt fine. My daughters and I had a room and it was just like everyone posted. Mold smelling. The toilet had a light brown color of water in it. The sink was the same, this is normal in the Greenville, Mississippi area. Example, if you went to a restaurant in town in would be the same outcome. The sink water is safe to drink, that’s what googled said. The hotel does offer free bottles of waters at the desk, and that’s what we had. I didn’t request a change of room I feared it could get worse and I wouldn’t be close to my husband’s room. The housekeepers were great they gave me everything I requested. In the beginning I said I felt like this was difficult to rate because everyone at the hotel is doing their job perfectly. I feel corporate is not listening. So, I didn’t want to take it out on the staff because there is only so much a person can do. It seems to be out of their hands. I noticed some reviews are over a year old and nothing has been done. I think the only thing a person can do who works here is give their very best, and that’s what they were doing. Unfortunately, corporate does not care about what the people are telling them. I hope that someone from corporate sees these reviews and does something about it. It’s not a bad place just needs some work. Although, I didn’t have breakfast here I did have the chocolate chip cookies and they were good my children loved them too.

My husband is a diamond member because he is government. We have stayed in a lot of these hotels over the years! I have NEVER gotten on Google to write a hotel complaint ever, this will be the first one! And let me start off by saying that the ladies at check in when we showed up in the later evening, were very kind. This has nothing to do with them and their service! But I have to comment on this hotel in general, the rooms and common areas. Oh my, the rooms! They are falling apart! There was dirt and mold through out, the bath tub spigot was barely glued on and even less functional! When me and my daughter arrived in the room, there was hair all over the bathroom floor that wasn't ours, pubes still in the shower and I grabbed a towel that had hair on it that I promise wasn't mine! The AC unit had a hard time keeping up on our very hot night. Several times, even the fan went off when it was programmed not to. The black out drapes didn't shut and we were hoping to sleep in but couldn't because light poured in to the room. Furthermore, the common areas and the hall leading in to our room was 92°! I went to get ice at the machine in our hall and the thermostat is next to it, it literally said 92°, it was miserable! Let's also discuss the water. I totally get and respect that this hotel is almost ON the river and you get sediment in the pipes. However, there is no real good excuse to not offer filtered water on each level at the ice machine or in the lobby area 24/7, for drinking. That's just poor hospitality when you are clearly in an area that suffers with this; plus, you know it but refuse to do anything about it. Let me say, not all hotels in this area have this issue either, I know because I have been to others. I literally had to drink water with nasty brown sediment in it. To further frustration, they didn’t even offer bottled water to BUY in the lobby! Then some older high school/possibly college age kids checked in after us and they were allowing them to check in/roam the lobbies and take elevators on segways/hoverboards! These were tall and big guys; on the segway things, they were about 7ft tall. I was almost smashed in to several times attempting to get in/out of elevators by these boys. There is absolutely no way the staff didn't see them, they absolutely saw them and said nothing. Hoverboards and the like, should NEVER be allowed in hotels like that, especially for safety of other guests. The breakfast offering was not ideal but the staff was very kind! What was worse was, it was SO hot in the lobby and there were flies in the food containers. Now I will admit the containers the flies were in, the food items were individually wrapped, so that was helpful. But still. I promise I am NOT bougie and I will tolerate a lot and usually I am fine with Mississippi and Alabama heat, no issues! But this was a rough stay! I cannot recommend this hotel till they do some major work!
