  I made a reservation for this holiday inn. Walked in to a mess in the hall and lobby. Just unclean looking. Outside walls of building and parking looked dirty too. After giving my reservation number to the front desk clerk, I was told their key card service was down and I would have to be let in the room each time. Just unacceptable! Cancelled reservation! I now see comments on reviews that this has gone on months before. All around very disapointing!

  We were in town one night for a funeral. The front desk associate was very polite, and respectful. But, the hotel looked as if it was a condemned building! The hotel was unable to print a hotel key due to the machine not working, the room smelled of mildew, the bathroom did not appear to be clean, and everything in the lobby looked condemned/ abandoned. I pre paid a $200 non-refundable fee, but the hotel was in such horrible shape that I refused to stay there! The Better Business Bureau was created for this very reason. UPDATE: I spoke with the hotel, they were not helpful. Thankfully, it was paid for with a credit card and they are handling it!

  My stay was very disappointing, and I truly feel that I deserve a refund. I drove 5 hours to Cleveland, MS to attend my nephew’s graduation. After the graduation, I checked into the hotel expecting to finally rest, but unfortunately my experience was horrible. The room I was given was not clean or properly maintained. The comforter had visible stains all over it, the bathtub had a dirty ring around it as if it had not been cleaned, and the shower did not work. There was also no trash can in the room. To make matters worse, the microwave would not heat the food, and when I attempted to call the front desk, I discovered the phone in the room did not work either. I explained to the staff that I was exhausted from the long drive and graduation, and I did not want to move all of my belongings and children to another room. The staff was very kind and understanding and allowed me to use another room just to shower, which was the only positive part of my stay. Overall, I was extremely dissatisfied and would never stay here again. I would greatly appreciate a refund for this unacceptable experience.

  Most of the hotel was run down. They did offer a breakfast. I would not recommend this hotel.
