  Revising this...Great location, just 15 minutes north of Jackson. 1st room we had the shades would not shut. This appeared to be broken for a bit because it was coming apart. 2nd room smelt musky. You had to flush the toilet by pulling the chain inside the back of the toilet tank. The following morning, the carpet was pretty wet from the airconditioner. So sad...this stuff just doesn't happen if you have a crew that took pride in their profession.

  At first the darkening blind didn't work, but the desk clerk came and together we managed to get it working. Otherwise a great room and quiet hotel. Could use a cold water dispenser for water bottles in main lobby area when breakfast area is closed.

  My brother had to cancel his room after showing up and seeing mold everywhere. I showed up and didnt immediately see any issues so we elected to stay the night. After settling in, I noticed that the shower tub had been painted white and was now peeling which revealed an uncleaned tub underneath. The shower head had corrosion on it indicating it almost never gets cleaned. The room was COLD and smelled a little musky so while I cant prove it, I suspect that it was to hide the smell of mold. The interior doors had rust on the hinges which means that a high level of moisture stays in the air. Hopefully I dont get sick from breathing the air! The lamp had black spots everywhere that I only saw this morning as I was leaving which I certainly HOPE was not black mold beginning to form. I had an iron but no iron board, this was a small problem compared to everything else. We were woken up at 6:30am by a false fire alarm. They said that the oven overheated but we smelled weed THICK in the air so I doubt it was the oven. Absolutely no staff were in the halls during the alarm to tell anyone what was going on. After they turned off the alarm, there was nobody walking around telling us what happened, we had to find someone to ask if it was safe to stay and get our belongings. As we left there was glass shattered on the ground right outside of the door, that no staff were around to clean up and made safe. My parents also had issues unrelated to this review, however they also will not be staying here ever again. Overall we will NOT be staying here ever again and would not recommend it to anyone. We've stayed at holiday inns before elsewhere but this one needs new management and a serious overhaul.

  The carpet by the window was wet. There were no other rooms available so the manager gave us a full refund. Staff was great and tried to help out. Building was not so great.

  If I could give this zero stars, I would. When we got there last night, we got to our room and noticed the curtain was broken, the tub was cracking and dirty, the toilet was dirty, and the carpet seemed damp. We didn't notice the smell until we laid down to go to sleep and then again in the morning after breakfast. The room smelled so musty. I read a review from someone else about black mold, and I honestly wouldn't be surprised, given how bad it smells. The only good thing about the hotel is Stan, the night worker. He was so polite and helpful. He helped us fix our curtain so we could sleep without people being able to see in our window. I do not recommend this place at all, at least until they have a health inspection and pass it.
