Pros: location is great, walking distance to Arch park which is a lovely place for a walk/run; staff are very friendly and helpful; room seemed clean
Cons: only one working (very slow) elevator; no restaurant; small shower that floods the floor unless shower head is angled just right; no parking (must park on street or in nearby garages)

Overall the stay was good. It was a little hot in the lobby upon check in, but the room was cool. My biggest disappointment was the waitress during breakfast. She was very unprofessional. She came to our table, did not say good morning, no smile or nothing. Just handed us a menu and walked away. Then she stood at the POS system to take our order, so we had to shout our order to her. When the food came she set our plates on the table roughly without saying anything. She brought our orange juice over, still didn’t say a word. She then stood over by the POS system and told us where the butter and jellies were. Management should be ashamed for hiring substandard help. Horrible!

Hotel is attractive and close to the downtown activities we came for, but there is so much wrong that it is grossly overpriced. Breakfast was a bust as there was nobody attending the restaurant. The shower design is functionally poor. Bed was fine, but no other comfortable seating option in the room. And we knew there was no on-site parking, but how about a valet service to the nearby private garage? All that is just annoying.
Big flags, though.... The elevators BOTH broke in the morning and there was no communication about this. We were on 12th floor, that could have been impactful.

I'm not sure where to start, but by far the worst hotel experiences I've had. Upon arrival, the hotel location and parking situation were a mess. The lobby had no AC and was not the cleanest. The staff were friendly but unprofessional. Seemed to have friends and family just hanging out in the lobby and behind the desk? Like maybe bring your kid to work day? Their work attire made it seem like they were just hanging out.
Once we got to the room the AC was set on 68 but the temperature of the room was 76. We turned the temp to cooler and turned the fan on, but seemingly nothing happened. We were only in the room for about 5 minutes before heading to the cardinals and cubs game, hoping that when we returned the AC had kicked on. It did not. We arrived around 10:30 and the room was hotter than the outside temperature.
The staff had to have known this was the case, the lobby was without AC as well, but they didn't communicate with us at check in. I have a pregnant wife and we would have found a different hotel. The room was also very small and not well cleaned prior to our arrival. We ended up cancelling our reservation and found a hotel outside of the city with working AC for half the price!
Do not recommend this place for a stay.

I only stayed here for one night, but I do think the location was great. It’s downtown and within walking distance of the Museum of Illusions and several other attractions.
The rooms were also very nice and extremely clean. The bathroom was beautiful, and we had a lovely view of the courtyard. The overall aesthetic reminded me a little of the Beverly Hills Hotel in California.
Unfortunately, the service was not great. The ladies at the front desk were not very welcoming or friendly. At times, it felt like they expected guests to already know how everything worked or where everything was located. We purchased breakfast with our hotel booking, but the process was confusing, and no one really explained it to us. That said, the food itself was very tasty. We had breakfast as well as a few burgers during our stay, and everything we ate was good.
Overall, the biggest downside was the customer service. The front desk staff seemed uninterested and gave the impression that they didn’t want to be there. It’s disappointing because the hotel itself is beautiful and has a great atmosphere. While I enjoyed the location, rooms, and food, if I were to come to STL again, this wouldn’t be a first option.
