  TERRIBLE PLACE TO STAY. BUGS, POTENTIALLY BED BUGS. We stayed at this Holiday Inn last night and we couldn't have had a worse experience. Out of all of the hotels we've ever stayed at, this is the worst, ever. The front desk service was rude and unwelcoming from the moment we arrived. Because of the World Cup, the hotel was incredibly loud, with guests screaming throughout the night, making it nearly impossible to relax or sleep. The patrons were drunk and didn't go to bed until 3am. We complained over text and the hotel said it was out of their scope of service. The walls were also extremely thin, so you could hear almost everything happening in neighboring rooms and the hallways. There was a huge stain on the chair in our room, which made the cleanliness of the hotel feel questionable. On top of that, the elevators smelled strongly of smoke, and one of the elevators was broken during our stay, causing long waits. There were lots of rowdy guests running the hallways of the hotel 24/7. The room was fine at first. The bathroom especially the shower needed a good scrub (it was black with filth) but the bed was comfortable. However, we woke up to a bug crawling on us and a couple of them on the bed! We were sure it was a bed bug, but after further research it could have been a carpet beetle due to the spotted pattern. We still aren't fully sure but there must have been an infestation in the mattress. When telling the front desk staff; they noted that they do not offer refunds for bed bugs/carpet beetles. They said they could have a third party exterminator come out and inspect; and if a bed bug ingestion was found they would call back an offer a PARTIAL refund. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and I expected much better from a Holiday Inn. We will NEVER return, and now have to wash all of our clothing incase those were BED BUGS.

  Fire alarms randomly going off. Possible bedbug exposure. Staff that were not very helpful when I went to complain. Adding a second star for Twisted Tree. Location is good.

  This was a great hotel. The property and rooms are nice and very well kept. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. There’s a restaurant on site with amazing food and an extensive menu.

  We had an excellent 3 night stay here (two adults and two kids). The rooms are beautiful and comfortable, the pool and outdoor fire tables were fabulous, and every interaction we had with staff was great! Plenty of towels and bedding in our room, and it was a big bonus that liquid hand soap is one of the toiletries. Honestly, that alone thrilled me, making everything else felt like a bonus (if you’ve had to use hotel bar soap with kids, you get it). I highly recommend staying here, and we will absolutely stay here again on future trips to St. Louis. In fact, I would even go so far as to say the hotel helped us decide that we would indeed be visiting again. One last note: we did upgrade our stay to include breakfast, which was good, but not something we would add next time. The restaurant is physically connected to the hotel, but is a separate establishment. Menu options were limited and service was so-so, but as it’s separate, I’m not dinging any stars from the hotel itself—I only mention it for anyone on the fence about the upgrade.

  Stay was great other than the fact that house keeping tried entering the room without knocking or anything. Luckily we had the lock on. Checkout was not until 11 and this happened well before then.
