My daughter attended a concert near the St. Charles area while I was staying at another property in Fenton for business. Many hotels in the area were sold out, but Cassie, the General Manager, went above and beyond to help secure a room for my daughter and her friends. I walked them to the room and was pleasantly surprised by all the amenities offered throughout the hotel and inside the suite. The hotel smelled fresh, and the front desk agent was welcoming, calm, and soft-spoken. The busy parking lot made it clear that the hotel was full—but full business is always good business! My daughter even joked about how clean and quiet the elevator was because she has a thing for elevators! You can tell the housekeepers take pride in their work. The room was exceptionally clean, the temperature was cozy, and those pillows were amazing! My daughter is now begging me to contact Cassie to find out where she can purchase one. Great hotel, wonderful guest service, and an excellent team led by Cassie. I am sure we will be back!

This hotel is absolutely incredible and very welcoming . It’s one specific lady i want to give awesome recognition to Cassie McDonald her and her team welcomed me and my family to an amazing stay !! the hotel was very clean , fresh new sheets , extra and clean folded towels , and also fresh water bottles in the room when I arrived . It is very hard to come by a nice decent hotel that makes you just feel at home and worth spending your money on for vacations !! Check this place out :)

Excellent Stay! I had a wonderful stay at Candlewood Suites St. Louis–St. Charles. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed, especially the full kitchen, which made the stay feel much more like home. The location was convenient and the property was quiet and comfortable. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and very helpful throughout my stay. I really appreciated how accommodating and professional everyone was. Overall, a great experience and definitely a place I would consider staying at again. Highly recommend!

My husband and I stayed one night as we were passing through and it might be one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in. Immediately upon arrival, as soon as we opened the door the smell was unbearable. It smelled like a mixture of feet and boiled corn. They had also not been running the air conditioner so it was 90 degrees in the room when we first got there. The entire carpeted floor was sopping wet. The bathroom was also covered in a thin layer of whatever liquid was in there. We tried to crack a window to alleviate the smell and the windows are for decadence only, you cannot open them. The bed was uncomfortable too. As I was showering the next morning, it looked like the vent above the shower was covered in a thick layer of mold and dust. The only reason it deserves two stars is the price tag was only 100 bucks. Would never stay here again and would never recommend this place.

UPDATE (8/24/26): I have tried multiple times to call the GM Cassie McDonald and left a message requesting a return call. Each time I have called I am told she is not there. I still have my Travelocity reservation for 9/11 showing as booked even though I was told by other manager I was not welcome. Why haven’t you cancelled it? I don’t think I should have to cancel it since it was your hotel that said that the reservation would not be honored. ORIGINAL: Confirmed reservation not honored and no advance notice I arrived at approximately 8:30 p.m. after driving over 6 hours, only to be told that the hotel would not honor my confirmed reservation because a previous guest had broken a window and the room was being repaired. There were no other rooms available, and I had received no call, email, or other notification before arriving. Staff told me they could not contact me because I booked through Travelocity and they did not have my phone number. I later learned through corporate customer service that the reservation had been canceled in the hotel system at approximately 8:43 a.m. — nearly 12 hours before I arrived. Yet my Travelocity reservation continued to show as booked, and I was given no indication that the hotel had attempted to contact Travelocity so that I could be notified. I was traveling alone, six hours from home, and suddenly had to find somewhere else to stay late in the evening. They offered zero support to help me find an alternative arrangement. Fortunately, my partner was able to arrange another hotel for me. I absolutely acknowledge that I was angry and upset at the front desk. While speaking with my partner on the phone and trying to make other arrangements, I may have used words such as “stupid” or “idiots” to describe how I felt the situation had been handled. I regret using those words. However, I did not direct them at or verbally confront the employees, and my frustration does not change the fact that the hotel apparently knew many hours before my arrival that it could not accommodate me and I was never notified. The following morning, the hotel manager called me primarily to confront me about what staff had reported hearing and my understandably upset reaction to be left stranded in the late evening as a single traveling female far from home. When I repeatedly asked when the hotel knew my room would be unavailable and whether anyone had contacted Travelocity, I could not get an answer. The manager ultimately told me that my existing reservation at this hotel for September was canceled, that I was no longer welcome at the property, and then hung up on me. I understand that employees deserve to be treated respectfully, and I take responsibility for being visibly upset and for the language I used during a private phone conversation. I also believe guests deserve basic communication when a confirmed reservation cannot be honored. Had someone notified Travelocity or me that morning, I could have made other arrangements before making a six-hour drive. Instead, I found out at the front desk at 8:30 at night. I was left in a potentially unsafe situation. My biggest concern remains unanswered: if the hotel knew that morning that it could not honor my reservation, why was no effort made to notify me through Travelocity before I arrived?
