My family was looking for a hotel on the outskirts of St. Louis with a pool as we are traveling with a 3 year old and a 6 year old who become very unruly if they don't burn off some energy in the morning. Pool opens at 9 a.m., but, the lady working the front desk still opened it up for us before time so we could get an early move on the day and burn some energy off with the kids. I was teaching my 6 year old boy to shallow dive. I'm a bigger guy and splashed some of the windows looking into the pool from the lobby while giving some lessons. The hotel is kept up very well by the staff. As I was leaving there was a man already tending to the residue left from me splashing the windows. I'm one that tends to be conscientious trying not to make more work for the people who clean as my mom was a custodian herself; I apologize for the mess. Great, hardworking people taking care of the place and a
lady at the front desk empathetic to the plight of a family trying to make a good vacation for their kids. Thank you!

One of the worst hotel customer-service experiences we’ve had.
We are a family of 4 and called ahead before booking to make absolutely sure the sleeping arrangement would work for us. We were told that an extra bed could be provided with our two-queen-bed room.
After a 6+ hour drive, we arrived after midnight and were told something completely different.
Instead of trying to take responsibility for the incorrect information we were given, we were told we would need to purchase another room for roughly $160.
We understand if fire regulations don’t allow an extra bed. Safety rules should absolutely be followed. But the hotel should have told us that BEFORE taking our reservation—not after we drove more than 6 hours and arrived after midnight.
Very disappointing.

I am in the middle of a long stay here. I have to just start my review now because. They are an amazing place. The first thing that they did for me is I had to check out of my other hotel in downtown St Louis to be closer to my surgery appointment. They was the closest place cheapest place that didn't have reviews about bugs. So I decided to give them a try. They let me drop my bags off at 11:00 a.m.. even though my room was not ready yet. I went and had lunch and did some things came back got into my room. They are basic rooms very nice size refrigerator. I haven't tried the pool yet but it looks nice I plan on trying it today. I actually haven't gone to the breakfast either but it looks like it would be a nice setup. They have popcorn in the afternoons I haven't tried it yet because I have my own popcorn in my room. Housekeeping does knock on your door about 10 a.m.. and they do come in your room if you're not there whenever they knock on your door. But that's the only thing I can say that's a little off other than that it's immaculate. I do know whenever they came into my room all they did was put some toilet paper in there and kind of straighten up a little bit. They didn't move anything and my belongings even if I had clothing in the floor they did not touch that they left it where I had it. They are very clean very very clean at this hotel. But they don't breathe down your neck. They don't hound you they don't harass you they just let you be.

I cannot express how disappointed and heartbroken my husband and I were by our recent stay at this Best Western. We chose to return because our first visit was wonderful. The woman at the front desk during our previous stay was so kind and welcoming, but unfortunately this visit was the complete opposite.
My husband recently lost his wallet while we're traveling for work and has an official Florida DMV replacement driver's license. We've stayed at many hotels while traveling, and it's never been an issue. However, the front desk clerk, who I believe was named Drake, treated us in a cold, dismissive, and humiliating manner. Policies are understandable, but there is no excuse for making paying guests feel judged and embarrassed. I left the front desk in tears.
To make matters worse, the room was not nearly as clean as it was during our last stay. I found hair in the shower and on the bathroom floor, the bathtub drained very slowly, the shower curtain was old, dirty, and too short, and the entry door looked like it had been broken into and poorly repaired. The beds were also much less comfortable than we remembered.
We are Best Western Rewards members and travel constantly for work. Our company books approximately 75 hotel rooms each week, and we've always enjoyed staying at Best Western properties. That's why this experience was so disappointing. This hotel has clearly declined since our last visit. I truly hope management addresses both the customer service and maintenance issues because this property has the potential to be much better.
I hope management takes this feedback seriously because we'd love to be able to stay here again with the positive experience we had the first time.

Yeah I do not recommend going to this hotel. When I was in the basement I mean the first floor I was trying to turn the refrigerator dial and raise the temperature and then it started to make like some motor sound literally is sound like a car motor made me think of that one refrigerator joke I thought it was about to explode or something and you get a downgrade if you're on the first floor and then it smells like a basement and animals the second floor is okay but you should definitely aim to get the third floor it's definitely better. I got my room changed to the third floor and my room refrigerator dial is literally broken I can't change the temperature or anything don't even get me started on the pool disgusting went during the night got in the pool try swimming in the water then I realize the water don't even taste like they put chlorine in it. it tastes salty and it also tastes like someone's foot then I had got the water in my nose so now I'm just breathing in salty water and feet and at the same time tasting it through my nose I think I was in the pool for like maybe 5 minutes or 8 then the TV it's really hard for you to connect to it we have to bring our own fire stick I will just recommend you stay away from this hotel get a better one trust me I think the only good thing about it was the breakfast and the bed was comfortable and also the exercising equipment doesn't even work they could have at least put a sign out saying that it wasn't working but NOOooOoo I have to go in and find out myself. CAN'T WAIT TO LEAVE TOMORROW!!!
