  I travel often and as a business traveler I would highly recommend this IHG property. Convienent to everything in Lee's Summit, nice, clean, and friendly staff. Perfect for a road warrior or if you're just passing through.

  I appreciated that the hotel was separate from shops and restaurants. A few concerns to note which is why I gave them one star overall. The rooms appeared clean, however, I found human hair in the bed. Additionally, I had to change rooms initially because the shower would not get hot. The biggest issue that I had was that this hotel is supposed to be no pet and no smoking. There is a sign that says no smoking on the premises. I understand that the hotel cannot police guests (witnessed a guest smoking a cigarette in the parking lot) as effectively as employees. However, I have moderate to severe asthma, especially to cigarette smoke. When preparing to check out, I witnessed a hotel employee smoking a cigarette at the main entrance of the hotel, not the side of the hotel or in the parking lot or closer to the grass. Thus, I had to use my rescue inhaler due to an asthma flare up. I selected this hotel because I thought it would be a safe place for me to spend a few nights. Instead, the experience led to asthma. Thus, if you have asthma, beware that at least one employee smokes on the premises. Lastly, I am bummed that I spent $137 for this experience. It is highly likely that I will not return to this specific site.

  Hotel had nice rooms and flexible front desk staff. Room was clean (yet worn), towels/washcloths and Dove branded soap/body care dispensers were adequately filled. Bed was very comfortable. Staff showed flexibility by allowing a family reunion in the main lobby that I noticed upon check-in. Front desk staff happily upgraded me to a double queen room and allowed a late check out due to my member status. Rooms had comfortable beds, a small frig, coffee maker and good lighting. The stay was enjoyable overall, but the property would benefit from a deep cleaning or some updates. In Room 222, the sofa was noticeably stained and frayed, with a worn appearance. The chair in the corner showed similar wear, and the desk chair, while visually appealing, was not very comfortable. A small suggestion: for guests needing to keep medical items cold, a refrigerator with a small freezer compartment would be a helpful addition. The walls between rooms also seem fairly thin. Noise from the neighboring room (Room 224) was clearly audible through much of the evening. Improved sound insulation would enhance the overall comfort of the stay. Lastly, I'd mention the check-in process is still very in-person rather than digital. Upon arrival, I had to present my driver's license and receive a key card - no digital check-in or digital keys. Upon departure, I had to check out at the front desk returning my key cards and receiving a paper copy of my receipt. This process seems a little archaic in light of competitor Hilton's digital check-in and digital key system for similar properties (e.g.- Hilton Spark, Hilton Tru, Hilton Hampton Inn & Suites and Home2 Suites).
