Don't reserve a room if you live closer than 60 miles from here. We reserved a room by phone, they charged us, got to the hotel and the very rude staff member told us we can't stay there because we only live 59.1 miles away so we're considered "too local." Ok so I asked for my refund and the staff said Nope you have to contact priceline. I said Ok can I get the contact number for Priceline? Staff said nope you have to look it up online. So I look up the number and can't get anybody but AI on to help me. So my money is spent, my night is ruined and I have no place to stay.

Good clean room. As with any Candle its dated. Parking lot entrance can be interesting depending on time of day.

On Saturday April 25th, I booked a room for my wife and I to have a date night away from the kids. We live 45 minutes away and wanted to go to Downstream and stay the night. I booked the room 1 week in advance. I arrived at 9 p.m. for check-in. The woman behind the desk informed me that they canceled my reservation due to my living within 60 miles of the hotel (makes no sense, as if people don’t just want a night away from their home sometimes) and they chose to not inform me of canceling my reservation. On top of that, they then booked all of their rooms out for the night. The woman behind the desk apologized and said someone was supposed to call me but they never did. As she scrambled for more excuses, she then told me all of their phones were down and that’s why she couldn’t call me about the cancellation before I ever arrived (as if the establishment and their management didn’t have ALL week to get ahold of me). I asked if herself or any of her management used emails (company emails) and couldn’t they just have emailed me if they couldn’t have called……. She slowly and sheepishly said “yes, I don’t know why none of us called you.” How absolutely unprofessional this establishment is if this is how they conduct business. I am a Diamond Elite member with IHG and have been in contact with a representative from them about my experience with this location. I spend a lot of money with IHG and am confused as to how you don’t contact someone to inform them you cancelled their reservation. IHG customer service was amazing and found me a room at the Holiday Inn down the road (which is much nicer), they are also an IHG hotel and said they’ve never heard of the 60 mile radius rule. Would not recommend this location, they probably won’t give you the room you reserved anyway…
