- SPSatyam Patel6 days ago2.0The room we had booked two months earlier was not available at check-in, so we were given a lower-tier room instead. I understand that hotels can overbook, but my main issue is that we were still charged the same rate as if we had received the higher-tier room. The employee at check-in told us the manager would be available the next day to adjust the rate. However, when we checked out the following day, another employee told us the manager was not there but that she would message the manager, and that we would receive a call within an hour. We never heard back from the manager, so we called again the following day, and somehow we still could not get connected to the manager. It is obviously unfair to be charged for a higher-tier room while receiving a lower-tier one.
